BC - Fri, 9/16/11

I LOVED that Dixie mentioned that David certainly had someone cut her hair while she was in limbo. She's had so many different hairstyles that they completely ignored (I particularly remember when she got her hair cut extremely short while in the of a love scene with Tad in the middle of the night in the Napa Valley where she didn't even KNOW anyone but Tad, let alone a 24-hour salon).

What is it with all these women in PV who just assume that the baby they are carrying belongs to them and ONLY them, and that the father will have no say in the child's life in any way? I understand FEELING like that, but that doesn't fly in this day and age, not in the USA, anyway.

Oh for God's sake, Erica just marry Jack and get it over with! Why does a wedding have to put off over and over again? You already HAD your dream wedding with Jack. You've had a multitude of weddings, dreamy and otherwise. Just go to City Hall, sign the papers and get ON with it! And while you're at it, buy your OWN damn star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame; as it has been pointed out, it's not like some committee decides you are worthy of it -- you just PAY for it.

It was good to see Brooke sparring with Erica again and both of them realizing that it was stupid to keep on doing it. Erica was right, though; Brooke often DID end up with Erica's leftovers.

BC - Tue-Thu, 6/28-30/11

For those following the Casey Anthony trial, I just realized that Jose Baez sounds a LOT like Jake!  It makes me dislike BOTH of them even more than before.

When Griff said he was leaving PV, my response was "Isn't everyone?"

Griff's taking off with virtually NO notice? Well, THAT came out of nowhere. We know he's wanted to leave for a long time, but when he DOES, you'd think he'd give more than a few minutes noticed.

Does it seem to anyone else like they are already wrapping things up? I'm seeing:
  • Griff saying goodbye to everyone.
  • Cara and Tad going on a real date.
  • Ryan and Greenlee getting close again. In fact, Tad officiates yet another wedding for them. I'm so ... underwhelmed.
  • JAR and Marissa getting back together.
  • Lots of flashbacks are occurring.
  • Madison suddenly has a new attitude and is striving for a new look.
Why does everyone think Cara's going to be just fine? Don't Mexican druglords still have a bounty on her? What, like no one from Mexico ever crossed the border? Griff "knows" she's going to be okay. She and Tad will probably decide they have a real marriage, Dixie will come back, and Cara will be assassinated by a hitman (or hitwoman).

It's all a little too pat for me. In fact, it's downright creepy! Loose ends are being tied up right an left. Are actors being dropped or jumping ship or both? Is the show even going to be BACK after the 4th of July?

LOD:
Okay I DID laugh when Kendall burst into Ryan's living room and Tad announced: "Stripper's here."

I'm sorry -- I can never see Greenlee's belly without remembering that poem she had written on it for Aidan.

Why is Madison doing all that makeup in the office? Don't they have a lab or ladies room or something like that in the building?

Why doesn't anyone tell Angie how dull and unflattering that blouse is?

Amanda said she and JAR didn't use protection (told ya) and now she might be pregnant. Most women in PV start getting morning sickness and/or start fainting within a day or two of conception.

Jane is a VIRGIN? I'm pretty sure Jack would have noticed THAT had she given him an opportunity to deflower her.

BC - Tue-Fri, 5/31-6/3

[I thought I had posted this, but apparently it was still in draft form. Oops! Sorry about that. I'm so caught up in the Casey Anthony murder trial that I didn't notice it until now!]

Ricky joins the ranks of all the ladies in PV.  Despite everything that happened the night before, not a single hair on his head is out of place.

Amanda whines that Jake never did anything really bad like SHE did.  For instance, she called Immigration on Cara and she tried to get pregnant without telling him.  She left out a couple of other oopsies, like being paid to get JAR, a known alcoholic on the wagon, to take a drink, and poisoning the Chandler's Thanksgiving pumpkin soup (or was that JaNut?) and pretending to be hit by JAR's car.

Ryan decides to let go of his anger and remarry Greenlee.  Damn!  Does this mean we will be subjected to yet ANOTHER wedding between the two?  Ugh.

They're going to let Griff off the hook for STEALING DRUGS because it was for charitable causes.  He still STOLE them when he had other means to get the drugs and possibly caused a shortage at PVH for people who needed them right there.  I call BOGUS.

LOD:
Jack to Opal re Erica:  "... but what really concerns me is that I think she's running on fumes."  Opal:  "Well, she's has always had a lot more gas than the rest of us."  :-)  That cracked me up because a very long time ago I made a post alluding to something like that.  The original post was not kept by Google, but I made a post in 2007 that referenced a 2003 post that referenced the original:  "Many years ago I said that, just once, I'd like to see a scene where Erica walks out of the bathroom, looking beautiful and feminine as her diaphonous negligee wafts around her while she broadly waves her arms and warns her lover:  "Do NOT go in there!""

Jane keeps drinking alcohol.  She'll probably be committed to the Betty Ford Clinic.

Doesn't Cara have any actual PATIENTS at the free clinic?

BC - Mon-Tue, 5/23-24/11

Tidbit:  The wrapper on the money band in the video of Ricky and Diana showed that it was from Eden Falls Casino.  It appears it was a casino that was abruptly put out of business, presumably due to Ricky and Diana's dealings.

Ricky is such a PIG!  Push, push, push on the surprise (even to the bride) wedding!

How could they get married on the spur of the moment in PV?  Have the laws changed?  Back in the day, people who wanted to elope had to go over state lines to Elk Green because there was no waiting period there.

Krystal has had just a touch too much Botox recently.  She's visibly having difficulty moving the muscles around her mouth as much as she would naturally do.

I can't believe how far Kendall always allows things to go.

Misheard Line as Jane tells Jack (about the wedding:
  • What I heard:  "And instead of rice, we can throw FECES or even glitter!"
  • What she actually said:  "And instead of rice, we can throw CZs or even glitter!"

BC: Tue, 3/8/11

TAN/OT:  I had finished this BC yesterday and was starting to watch Wednesday's show when I found out about the 8.9 earthquake in Japan.  My son and DIL live about 30 miles outside of Tokyo (30 miles closer to the epicenter), so I've been somewhat distracted since then (like staying up until about 8am this morning watching CNN).  They and their house are okay.  There's a mountain between them and any potential tsunami.  My DIL was in Tokyo (6 stories up in an office building) and was lucky enough to share a taxi with 6 co-workers (no trains running), although it took about 4 hours to get home.  My son was ABOUT to go in to Tokyo when it hit.  Thank God he didn't get stranded on a train!  Also thank God for the internet and Facebook.  I wasn't able to reach him by phone, but he responded within about 15 minutes of my plea on FB, so I was saved a night or more of anguish wondering if they were ok, and I was also able to let other connected friends and family members know they were okay.

My heart goes out to those so strongly affected by this historic earthquake and tsunami.

Back to AMC:

Joe and Ruth actually DID show up for the wedding!  Well, it's worth the lame storyline to see THEM!

I'm also glad to see TPTB bring Cara and Griffin's mother onto the show.  She made a pretty dour debut, but it's obvious she's a strong woman who loves her children very much.  We need more FAMILY in Pine Valley.  Now if only she could convince her daughter to wipe all that glop off of her eyes.

Apparently the PV Transporter is currently located in the Martin living room, because the INS agent took all of 16 seconds to walk out of the Martin living room and into ConFusion.  That may be a record!  Tad and Cara had kissed and been pronounced husband and wife when he stood up, but they hadn't even started to walk down the aisle yet when he walked into Confusion!

I noticed neither Tad nor Cara said anything in their vows about love.  I'm sure the agent will latch onto THAT.

BC - Mon, 2/14/11

I noticed the little actress playing Emma was having trouble holding her smile during the wedding (I think she was getting fatigued at having to hold the same expression -- that's hard for anyone to do -- it's not natural to hold a fixed smile for very long). She recovered quickly. What was funny to me was that I was already in the process of trying to come up with some appropriate lines for her when she did it. You know, something like "Oh PUH-LEEZE! My parents NEVER stay married to anyone, so why pretend this is going to last more than a few months?"

Greenlee and Ryan are finally married! Yaaaaay! Let the countdown to them splitting up again COMMENCE!

Here's something I don't understand. If Greenlee and Ryan wanted a small, intimate ceremony with only the children and Jack (with room for Erica) there, why did they have the ceremony on the ConFusion patio? There are so many other options. For instance, the penthouse terrace (although that IS where David was shot and where Ryan has had sex with countless other women). Or Ryan's living room (where he has had sex with countless other women). Or the fugly Fusion office. For that matter, why was it on the patio at all, given that it's the dead of winter? I'm sure there were torches or other heaters there, but it IS Pennsylvania, after all.
Will JAR light a match to see better in the attic? We haven't had a good explosion for a while.

Every time I see Spike with his spiky hair, I think of Baby Zoolander (aka Derek Jr) and his first "look". Rather than give a link to any particular site, if you want to see what I'm talking about, go to images.google.com and search for "zoolander magnum" (without the quotes). Better yet, watch the movie -- it's hysterical!

Speaking of Spike, did you catch him tossing something around while Ryan was holding him after the reception? I'm not sure what it was, but it was small and white.

Hah! Annie's so crazy now that even Emma looks a little freaked out when Annie shows up and beckons her to come with her.

Robin "Mommy, you're crazy again - did you take your meds today?" Coutellier

Ryan and Greenlee talk on the phone, giddy because it's their wedding day. I'm not even a minute into the show and I'm already feeling like I might hurl.

Scott chides Madison for working in the Fusion office while Ryan and Greenlee are going to be married down at ConFusion that same day. Let's see, when is Valentine's Day? Oh yeah, 2/14. What day of the week is that in 2011? Monday. You know, a WORKday.

Emma's becoming quite the pro at being a flower girl. How many of her parents' weddings has she attended? Let's see, there was Ryan and Annie (almost), Ryan and Greenlee, Annie and Adam, Annie and Scott and now Ryan and Greenlee AGAIN. How many mother figures has she had? Greenlee, Kendall, Erica, Madison, and now Greenlee again. And I'm probably leaving someone out on one or both sides.

Caleb really shouldn't stand next to Erica while he's in profile and wearing a coat.

BC - Fri, 7/9/10

I know it's totally Erica, but I REALLY think Jack and Erica should slink off to Las Vegas or wherever they can to just quietly get married again. Not only is this wedding #11, but it's to the same guy she married the last time, so what's the point of a big reception? Not that they'll actually GET married this time.

It was supposed to be funny when Caleb sniffed his shoes, but I couldn't help but think he was wondering if they might smell odd because they smelled so NEW, not because he had stinky feet, the shoes were moldy or he had stepped in dogshit.

Have you noticed that AMC now deems it acceptable to use the word "piss" and "pissed"? That used to be a taboo word on AMC.

Liza'a being a total BITCH to Caleb! Not that he's amiable in ANY way, but she should keep in mind that she and Tad are the ones who showed up on Caleb's doorstep unannounced. They are intruding on HIS privacy and he doesn't know them. I wouldn't want to talk to Liza, either, and I sure as hell wouldn't invite her in. Of course, given her intense animosity toward him, she'll probably end up in a love triangle with him and Krystal.

WTH is wrong with Liza and Tad that they are incapable of having (or at least attempting to have) sex in the privacy of a bedroom? Two little girls, Tad's mother, Tad's ex-wife and now his grown son all live in that house, yet he and Liza INSIST on disrobing, making out and attempting to have sex in the living room over and over again, no matter how many times they get interrupted there. Idiots.

Caleb shoos out all of Krystal's customers at the restaurant, telling them that there's a gas leak. The people all get up and quietly leave without a word or even any expressions on their faces as Krystal yells at him for doing it. WTF? What are they, Stepford patrons?

BC - Tue, 6/8/10

Ruth gushes that her "baby" is getting married. Oh please, how many wives does this make for Jake? Let's see, there was Emily Ann, Gillian, Carolyn (I think), and Amanda. There may be one or more I'm missing.

Then Ruth laments that she and Joe go to Florida for a few months and suddenly everybody's love-life is upside down. This is a surprise to her because ...? How is that different from every other day in Pine Valley?

The pastor with the food fixation was kind of funny, adding a little bit of style to what would normally be an ignorable role.

WTF? Why would Ryan and Greenlee be paired up in the wedding party, all things considered? As if Tad and Liza couldn't be paired with them, respectively, instead. How very contrived. I'm glad Greenlee pointed that out afterward.

Wait a second. Isn't part of Liza's condo leftover from Natalie's apartment set? I remember Silver Kane coming in those windows and going after Natalie with scissors. Natalie won and Silver ended up in Timmy's toy drawer that rolled under/within the sofa.

Liza is going to seduce Damon herself in an effort to get Colby to break him up with him. Gee, didn't see THAT coming.

Why doesn't Opal feel a sense of doom or at least isolation about Erica? Why didn't she feel that at LEAST when Erica's plane went down? Her psychic powers sure do blow hot and cold. She didn't notice when Palmer died, either.

BC - Mon, 1/4/10

That is one BUTT UGLY dress to wear to renew one's vows. Annie has so many PRETTY dresses, so why did she choose THAT? To make her look bad and not as "shiny" compared to Hayley?

David tells Greenlee he's NOT a heartless bastard for not telling anyone that she was really alive. Yes, David you ARE a heartless bastard, on SO many levels. You're a SEXY heartless bastard, but a heartless bastard, nonetheless.

Then David drives home the point that he SAVED HER LIFE. Way to make it all about YOU, David!

Yak, yak, yak, yak, yak! Even if they DON'T like Annie, all that yakking Hayley and Scott were doing during the vows was just plain RUDE.

Why would Madison burn all the evidence she has to blackmail her father. She doesn't think she might need it for future dealings with him? For that matter, what about all the people he's obviously screwed over? Isn't there evidence of THAT in the files?

Adam tells Hayley that Annie is the embodiment of what it means to be Pine Valley. Okay, I'd agree with that. She's psychotic, vindictive, scheming, homicidal, superficial, smug, falls unconscious easily, rebounds easily, tries to kill and/or maim other people (and sometimes SUCCEEDS), uses children as pawns, kidnaps people (especially her daughter) at the drop of a dime. Yup, she DOES embody what it means to be Pine Valley.

BC - Mon, 11/9/09

I love that Adam's notion of Purgatory is that they are now serving 003 and his ticket shows he's number 420

Those wimpy wings are way too small for Angel Annie. She'd never get off the ground with them!

I'm under the impression that a marriage isn't really valid unless the marriage certificate is signed by both parties and witnessed and that the ceremony is really just a formality. Is that true? Even if saying vows is part of the legality of it, if Adam literally DIED during the ceremony, wouldn't he be considered not of sound mind at the time? Then again, he was clearly not of sound mind when he married Krystal, considering that both of them were shit-faced on moonshine at the time. He was just as eager to be married when he gained consciousness, though, so I guess it's a moot point.

Oh, as as to the question of the color of eBabe's dress, it looked purple on my TV. It's a DULL purple, but a purple, nonetheless.

Aidan schmoozes the police officer, pretending that he and Kendall are having an affair. The officer tells him to relax, that they are real good about keeping secrets around there. Aidan says: "What do you call this place, anyway?" Officer: "Peyton." BWAHAHAHAAAA! I feel really old for having to do this, but for you young'uns, this first line from the Wikipedia page pretty much sums it up: "Peyton Place is a 1956 novel by Grace Metalious. "Peyton Place" has become an expression to describe a place whose inhabitants have sordid secrets." I remember reading it as a young teenager. It also became movie in 1957 and a TV series in 1964 (making Ryan O'Neal and Mia Farrow into stars). It was a ground-breaking book and considered QUITE scandalous at the time.

It never ceases to amaze me that patients at PVH are routinely treated by doctors who hate their guts and have tried to kill them MORE THAN ONCE! WTF is WRONG with these people?

Okay, for you Misty Croslin types out there, that thing about spouses not having to testify against one another is a MYTH. Oh there's SOME truth to it, but it's not a blanket immunity kind of thing. They don't having to testify as far as things that have been said DURING THE MARRIAGE. We went through this when Kendall and Zach remarried for the same purpose. That only happens on TV and in movies. Anything that transpired BEFORE the marriage is fair game, so getting married to avoid testifying is a stupid and useless thing to do. At least that's MY take on it.

Well, now that Adam nearly died and he probably has to take it easy for a while, it practically makes it MANDATORY that Annie and Scott have sex, not only to make a baby ASAP, but because Annie will be feeling horny and Adam won't be able to satisfy her.

BC - Fri, 11/6/09

What is the old Martin staircase doing in a "crummy" hotel? They don't do crummy hotel lobby very well -- it looked all right at first glance. The proprietor certainly has a crummy attitude, though. Okay, the bed IS kind of crummy, as are the broken blinds. The bathtub, for some unfathomable reason, looks pristine on the inside. You'd think there would be chips, soap scum, rings, perhaps some oily substance, hair, etc. It looked downright sparkling, though.

Why is Kendall taking a bath with the door open?

Considering that the cliffhanger is that Adam may or may not be dead (in the middle of his wedding, no less), it was a pretty boring show. Zach, as usual, thinks ahead. With Josh, he told them to save his heart (for Kendall). With Adam, he says Adam is not going to die without confessing first.

Does Liza have a legal speciality? For instance, is she good at contract law, tax law, corporate law, criminal law, entertainment law, family law, etc.? Maybe she just specialized in PINE VALLEY law.

Did anyone else cringe when Spike, in an impromptu performance, stood up on the couch and reached over the table behind it to grab some blocks? I'm thinking of all the full decanters just sitting there waiting for a toddler to imbibe. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!

David insists it won't make any difference if Amanda and Jake get married -- he'll STILL get his child. If it doesn't make any difference, then WHY did he go there to stop the marriage in the first place? More to the point (AGAIN), why hasn't anyone called the police about this person who keeps stalking them, walking into their house, verbally attacking everyone and refusing to leave? They are in serious need of a restraining order. Punching him and tying him up is getting pretty old, and there ARE children in the house. The children should not be exposed to stalking, punching OR tying people up. And where ARE the children? Tad, Krystal and Opal are all there, so where is Jenny? Where is Kathy? Kathy would LOVE to be a flower girl or at least BE there for something like that, especially if she got to dress up. I call B-O-G-U-S!

And why on EARTH would Amanda and Jake want to have their ceremony continue with the bound and gagged David sitting right there? That's not funny and it's CERTAINLY not romantic! Talk about a blight on their wedding!

Watching David sitting there, it occurred to me that if he really wanted to make a splash at the wedding and get back at them, he should pee in the chair they've got him tied to. The least he could do is to muster up a couple of eye-watering farts in the bridal couple's direction.

Erica sweetly commiserates with Annie about being stabbed and how hard it is and how much it hurts. And the blood -- there's SO much blood! Well, maybe for other people, but Erica hardly bled at all when Annie stabbed her.

Where is Annie getting access to false eyelashes while in jail and in the hospital? You'd think they would have sweated and/or rubbed off during her high fever.

I see Amanda and Jake are continuing to blabber at every possible opportunity about their super, super, SUPER-SECRET plans. What better place to talk about it than the ONE place David is almost SURE to be, lurking around every corner?

Frankie and Randi get married. That's nice. Not INTERESTING, but nice.

Are we REALLY supposed to be rooting for the true love of Kendall and Ryan? I mean REALLY? WTF are the writers smokin' that they think the majority of fans would go along with that?

The writers like to portray women as always following their hearts or their passions. Why can't they show them following their BRAINS once in a while?

BC - Wed, 3/4/09

It was kind of a pot/kettle moment when Kendall said something to Reese about wringing her scrawny little neck. I'd say they are (forgive me) "neck and neck" in that particular category

Geez that kiss David planted on Krystal (after, in a sinister manner, saying "NOW you're MINE!") was creepy -- it wasn't so much a kiss of affection or even ownership as it was a KISS OF DEATH. I did notice that there WAS a witness to the wedding, though, which I hadn't noticed in the episode prior. The accompanying music (by AMC, not within the story) sounded downright DEMONIC and Krystal, clearly feeling like something is NOT right and walking over to one of the many rows of candles made me think of Rosemary's Baby. That wasn't a wedding -- it was a SATANIC CEREMONY!

When David walks back in and asks if Krystal is all right, she says she's just chilly. How can she possibly be chilly with all those lit candles in the room? That must be why she walked over to them although, honestly, she would have been close to candles no matter WHICH way she turned.

Okay, that's just WEIRD -- there HAD to be a deliberate Rosemary's Baby vibe to the wedding of David and Krystal considering that the next scene I see has him delivering Krystal's fantasy baby, which turns out not to be a baby so much as a THING.

If Greenlee's memorial service isn't going to be until the next day, why is Opal putting her picture all over ConFusion the night before? If the bar is open for business, that's kind of a downer and there's a good chance the photos will end up with mustaches, drinks and God knows what else on them before the next day.

Wow, JAR sobered up FAST!

BC - Tue, 3/3/09

When Amanda told Pete that she had one too many doctors in her face, how many of you immediately thought "it's not your FACE that they're focusing on"?

When David snuggled behind Krystal in bed and said (referring to Babe): "Our little Golden Girl -- I can feel her right now," how many of you thought that he was cupping Krystal's breast as he said that?

What was on the floor of David and Krystal's bedroom that the camera focusing on?

Krystal whines, wondering if she really IS the love of David's life. He asks how she could DOUBT that! I can think of at least a couple of reasons: Dixie and Anna. Does Krystal even KNOW about the depths of his past loves?

Krystal signs a pre-nup, which David STRONGLY urges her NOT to read since there's really no time before the ceremony. She drinks her milk and signs it like the obedient airhead that she is.

Jesus Christ, how many candles do they HAVE burning in David's living room for the wedding, about 100? You'd think they'd be CHOKING on the smoke. And don't they need to have a witness? If it's only going to be the two of them, what was the rush to do it right then and there? The pre-nup ALONE should have been cause to delay it at least a DAY.

Did Amanda report to the police that her yacht was stolen?

BC - Mon, 2/16/09

And now our heart transplant patient is being jerked around in a careening car (I know what THAT feels like) and climbing down cliffs. According to Ruby Vee, a nurse who posts on R.A.T.S.A.), a person who has had their breastbone sawed open and then wired shut needs at least SIX WEEKS of favoring the sternum and lifting no more than 5 lbs lest the breastbone pop right open again. As usual, Kendall rarely uses her brain before she acts.

I was disappointed that Erica didn't say anything about Mona being proud of Bianca and wishing she could be there? It was nice for Jack to tell Bianca that her father, Travis, would be proud of her.

Does it seem a little odd to anyone else that there aren't any gay/lesbian friends of either of the brides at the wedding? They used to include extras at all the soap weddings, but this was a particularly low-attendance one. You'd think there would be at least ONE person there besides Bianca that was supportive to Reese. Of course, that may be deliberate to underscore how much of an outsider she is. Bianca has alluded to some gay/lesbian friends in PV in the past. That said, since they've been showing the two of them as a couple for quite a while now, within the context of the show itself, I didn't really think of it as a "same-sex wedding" so much as simply a "wedding". I tend to think of it as of a "same-sex wedding" when I see the various external references to it, though.

I know this wedding was supposed to be small, intimate affair, but you'd think there would be at least SOMEONE outside of the immediate circle of PV's usual movers and shakers. For that matter, why weren't Sean, Molly and, yes, even BARBARA there? Bianca lived with them from the time she was six to sixteen, after all. How about Reggie and Lily? (Lily would, of course, have to wear sunglasses what with all the red abounding on the set lately.) Valentine's Day was a Saturday this year, so having to be in school is no excuse. Joe has been around all of Bianca's life -- is he still visiting an aunt or whatever, out of state? Palmer should have been there, too, but I'll cut him some slack since he's really getting on in years. Mary Smythe should have been there, but Greenlee did pretty much give her the boot, so that one's iffy. Jack has a sister, That-Kit-Fisher-Person (tm by EEK) who should be there for at least ONE of her niece's weddings. Ryan ... hmmmm ... well, everyone in Ryan's family dies just to get away from him, even the PRETEND ones, and no one REALLY likes him, anyway.

BC - Fri, 2/13/09

Kendall could barely WALK or even SIT UP a couple of days ago, but now she's wandering around the hotel, rushing around and driving? As we predicted (made MUCH easier by tell-all promos), Kendall has had a MIRACULOUSLY speedy recovery from a 4-month coma AND a heart transplant.

If Kendall was supposed to be a Maid Of Honor, why is she wearing a hat, thereby squishing down her hair and giving her hat-head? And why the sudden wave of hats (remember Angie was wearing one the other day)?

Zach KNOWS how pissed off Kendall is at him for siring Gabrielle, ESPECIALLY when she sees him with her, so why does he keep picking up the baby to soothe it every time it gets even remotely fussy?

The Kane women sure do like big oval mirrors on their wedding days.

Ugh, I *HATE* Bianca's dress! Reese's isn't so anything to write home about, either, but Bianca's is SOOOO unflattering to her! I'm VERY disappointed.

Why isn't Greenlee afraid of her long dress (or veil) getting caught in/under the wheels of the motorcycle? Apparently she's never seen the end of the movie "Isadora" (1968). (GMTA, Aisling!) I was amazed that there wasn't a Youtube clip (that I could find) of THAT scene -- it was QUITE memorable! For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, Isadora Duncan, a famous dancer, died in 1927 of a broken neck when one of the long, flowing scarves she was so fond of wearing trailed romantically behind her in a car -- and then got caught in the spokes of one of the rear wheels.

What IS it about AMC and motorcycles going cliffs? For that matter, why does everyone in town eventually fall over some precipice or another? Off the top of my head:
  • Ryan drove his motorcycle over a cliff
  • Tad and Billy Clyde Tuggle got blown off a high bridge
