I LOVED that Dixie mentioned that David certainly had someone cut her hair while she was in limbo. She's had so many different hairstyles that they completely ignored (I particularly remember when she got her hair cut extremely short while in the of a love scene with Tad in the middle of the night in the Napa Valley where she didn't even KNOW anyone but Tad, let alone a 24-hour salon).

What is it with all these women in PV who just assume that the baby they are carrying belongs to them and ONLY them, and that the father will have no say in the child's life in any way? I understand FEELING like that, but that doesn't fly in this day and age, not in the USA, anyway.

Oh for God's sake, Erica just marry Jack and get it over with! Why does a wedding have to put off over and over again? You already HAD your dream wedding with Jack. You've had a multitude of weddings, dreamy and otherwise. Just go to City Hall, sign the papers and get ON with it! And while you're at it, buy your OWN damn star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame; as it has been pointed out, it's not like some committee decides you are worthy of it -- you just PAY for it.

It was good to see Brooke sparring with Erica again and both of them realizing that it was stupid to keep on doing it. Erica was right, though; Brooke often DID end up with Erica's leftovers.

Maya doesn't know how she's going to pay for ANYTHING, yet she takes off with her baby without having any plans in place. She was on the phone with someone about employment and talking about having to go to school at night and pay for childcare. Uh, how is she planning to pay for school? How is she going to pay for the books? Does she have computer access to use for school? How IS she planning to pay for childcare while she's at school? How is she going to pay for the cellphone she used to call whomever it was she was talking to? Why is she spending money at Krystal's when she could just as well go to a fast-food joint? How is she going to pay for diapers and all the other things babies need? I know she's going to stay with Liza and Colby, but that's really the only thing she's got. She should have stayed with Angie and Jesse until she had more than one duck in a row as far as Lucy was concerned.

Maybe the pounding on the walls is from  Dixie and David DOES have Erica stashed away wherever he does his Project Orpheus stuff.

BZZZZT!  In the Erica montage they showed Erica holding Bianca after she was born, with Travis beaming on and Erica saying (or thinking) the name "Bianca Christine Montgomery"! WRONG! Erica and Travis couldn't DECIDE on a name for about a month or more. She and Travis were dining at Matt Connelly's new Oasis cafe. Erica was talking about the play The Taming Of The Shrew and Erica was explaining the role of Bianca (the sweet, lovable younger sister of Kate, the shrew) to Travis, and they realized that THAT was the perfect name for the baby. Christine was the name of Travis' presumed-dead (of course she wasn't, but that was a story for another day) baby sister. In any case, Bianca did not officially have a name until she was about a month old.

BC - Fri, 7/15/11

Whoa, did you get a look at those shiny high heels Maya wears to clean the house? Shades of June Cleaver!

Wow, little Lucy stopped crying quite abruptly from the time Jesse went to the door and the time he opened it. I know it's very hard for actors to work with unpredictable babies, but it was still kind of funny how quickly it happened :-)

While I don't buy JAR being broken-hearted and driven to drink by losing eBabe, I suppose I DO buy him being at least driven to drink by losing her to a WOMAN. As he said, he didn't see THAT coming!

Is it just me or has this been a REALLY long day in Pine Valley? It started when Kathy woke up Tad and eBabe woke up JAR. Amanda, dressed for clubbing and freshly coiffed, went to Fusion to drink (apparently the bar is wide open for the breakfast crowd), had a heart-to-heart with Opal, then went to the park. Jake found her at the park and she told him she had an STD and, BTW, she contracted it only 3 weeks ago. He forgave her and she ran off again, this time to have a drink at the bar at Krystal's where she runs into JAR and tells him that she told Jake about the sex and the STD. It's still bright and sunny outside.

Jake and Tad had a heart-to-heart about Amanda cheating on him, then Jake went home to tell Amanda he still wants to make their marriage work. In the meantime, Kendall and Griff have a date for dinner(?), even though it's bright and sunny out. Griff bails on her when she pries. They meet later in the park and then at her house, I think, or maybe the hospital, and they go to the park again. It's still bright and sunny outside.

After needling (so to speak) several people at work, David twirls his invisible mustache and goes to his hotel room to get ready for an important meeting with hospital board members, but Jane shows up at his door, with her eyes practically rolling up into the back of her head due to her NON-Libidozone-inspired uncontrollable lust for him. After trying to get rid of her, David relents and gives her a right good shagging. Ryan and Greenlee, in the meantime, compare notes and information about Project Orpheus and wonder about Erica's involvement with David. Greenlee goes to the Yacht Club and pulls the fire alarm so that David and "Erica" will run out of the room in a state of not quite dressed. It's still bright and sunny outside.

EBabe gets mad at JAR for not really thinking of all those great special things to do for her and give to her because it was really all Bianca's ideas. Scott comforts her. JAR fusses and fumes about Scott taking eBabe away from him.  He almost drinks some scotch, but AJ inspires him with his adorableness, so JAR pours the scotch into  a poor, innocent plant next to the front door (no one will ever notice that the front door area REEKS of alcohol). It's still bright and sunny outside.

JAR goes to the hospital to possibly go to an AA meeting. While there, he and Tad have a heart-to-heart, then JAR takes off, presumably to a meeting. EBabe meets Bianca either on the Chandler grounds or the park (it's unlcear) and tells her that she loves her, too; she kisses Bianca. Bianca says it won't work because eBabe is straight, not gay. It's still bright and sunny outside.

Heartbroken at Bianca's rejection, eBabe goes back to the mansion, gets consoled by Scott some more (who has figured out that Bianca told eBabe that she had a thing for her), and then tells JAR (who has returned home after speaking with Amanda at Krystal's) that she's in love with Bianca, who walks in on them, despite knowing darned well that they were going to have a very private conversation (so much for being a saint). It's still bright and sunny outside.

In the meantime, Opal has a heart-to-heart with Jack, feeding him all sorts of goodies from the over-laden coffee table in the Martin living room (because the builders forgot to make a kitchen or dining room when they built the house), Kendall calls "Erica" over to her house for an emergency having to do with the Miranda Center, and when Jane shows up, it turns out to be an intervention. David and Angie meet and agree that his treatment is working. It's still bright and sunny outside.

JAR pours himself yet another glass of scotch (he has an endless supply of scotch bottles at the house). This time he actually drinks it. The plant outside the front door is quite relieved, since it's still dizzy and slightly pukey from the first bottle he opened. Tad comes over and they have yet another heart-to-heart. Maya helps hide the scotch at JAR's behest, and then her abusive boyfriend comes in (he's working on rebuilding the gatehouse with Scott) and menaces her. JAR drinks some more and has a meltdown in front of Tad, telling him that his wife is a lesbian (no she's not). It's still bright and sunny outside.

Maya abandons her post, goes to the hospital, and tells Frankie she's ready for that babysitting job NOW. She goes over to the Hubbard's place where Jesse is having trouble coping with the fussy baby since the previous babysitter had abruptly quit. Jesse had previously had a heart-to-heart with Brot over Lucy's humble beginnings and how she ended up being his daughter. Angie and Frankie show up and Lucy settles right down in Maya's arms ('cause Maya is actually her birth mother, of course, unbeknownst to any of them). It's still bright and sunny outside.

Jane is dismissive of everyone at the intervention. Then David shows up and she tells them all that she loves him and they've been having sex. Jack, Opal and Greenlee storm out. Kendall and Bianca are hurt and horrified. Then David asks "Erica" to marry him. Jane has changed her clothes, but I don't think anyone else has. I'm pretty sure it's still bright and sunny outside.

Meanwhile, the real Erica is pouring her heart out in self-reflection, telling Ben about being raped at 14 and giving birth to Kendall. She remembers how badly she treated Mona and deeply regrets it, realizing how much her mother truly loved her and only wanted what was best for her (as opposed to THE BEST). She realizes that the revolving door of men in her life was really about her quest to find a kind and protective father figure, not one who allows her to be raped by a child-molester. And then things started bumping against the walls outside of Erica's dungeon and Ben went to investigate, all the while assuring her that it was nothing.  Presumably it's still bright and sunny outside.

Kendall tells Griff that he can tell her ANYTHING; he doesn't have to hide anything from her. Oh yeah? After SAVING YOUR LIFE (multiple times), not to mention keeping you from killing David, he told you he was stealing drugs from the hospital to give to poor countries and you turned him over to the police in a nanosecond the moment you thought you would benefit from it (by getting info about Zach's death). I wouldn't tell her any secrets, either. She's the most compulsive blabbermouth in PV!

Okay, even though I don't buy eBabe deciding/realizing she's in love with Bianca, it WAS gratifying to see JAR thrown for a loop by it. How can he POSSIBLY compete with THAT? He only knows how to compete with other men. Plus he's an ASSHOLE (have I ever mentioned that I think JAR is an asshole? I believe I have, but I digress), and Bianca is somewhat of a saint. Watching JAR squirm over the situation was downright DELICIOUS! I do, however, hear the vague rustlings of yet another custody battle looming. OTOH, do they REALLY want to leave us with yet another trite custody battle over a child who has already been fought over on numerous occasions, not to mention been kidnapped many times over?

Speaking of kidnappings, Lucy hasn't been kidnapped yet and she's already several months old; they'd better get cracking on THAT one. I'm guessing Maya's boyfriend will figure into it.

Bianca tells eBabe that Miranda Center donors are pulling out with the news of Griffin stealing drugs.  eBabe reminds her that SHE is the Miranda Center, not Griff.  It got me to thinking that Kendall is also (ostensibly) a big part of it.  Kendall is the one that squealed on Griff, which means SHE knew about it and didn't say anything and allowed him to continue doing work for and at the Miranda Center.  In fact, Kendall is often being arrested or going on trial for one thing or another.  Why doesn't anyone connected with the Miranda Center care about THAT?

Jesse is being an asshole about the baby.  Hey, you chose to keep that baby, so DEAL with it and stop punishing the baby for it by treating it as a THING instead of a PERSON

Angie, holding the baby, feels her way to the table where Jesse is doing some police work.  She feels the back of the chair and starts to sit when Jesse helpfully pulls it closer to her.  Uh, she had already oriented herself to where the chair was -- it seems to me that moving a chair that a blind person is in the process of sitting down on is a boneheaded move (literally) to make.  If she were REALLY blind, I wouldn't be surprised to see her and the baby tumble to the floor!

I still can't get over how all those people are in a different COUNTRY (or territory or overseas collectivity (of France) or whatever it's called), Erica suddenly disappears without a word to ANYONE, and most of them just LEAVE!

Griff should have Kendall tossed out of his room.  Guilty of the crime or not, she'd be on my shit-list if *I* were him.

Although I think she was there in the room with everyone else when Erica disappeared, I can almost see Greenlee behind the kidnapping.  She hates Erica and doesn't want her to marry Jackson.  Again.

Wouldn't it be FABULOUS if Vanessa Bennett Cortlandt was behind this?  I don't know why she would be, but at this point I also wouldn't care.  Bring Vanessa back to do some mayhem and amuse us, and then have Leo come in on the last day to take Greenlee away.  (Of course, if that's already the plan with the storyline as it is playing at the moment, then they would already know that the show was going to be cancelled, since this would have been taped before the announcement.)

Doesn't Griff have a guard that should be keeping people out of his room?

Wow, I'm STUNNED!  Jake actually asked Cara to take MOMMY and baby into room 424 to make sure the baby is okay.  A PARENT being taken in with their infant?  In PINE VALLEY HOSPITAL???  Unheard of!  Oops, spoke too soon; there's Cara and Jake in a room with Lucy and Jesse and Angie are elsewhere in the hospital.

That Ricky is a hands-on kind of guy, isn't he?  They've said that he sabotaged Zach's plane, thus killing Zach, but showing him strangling a woman to death puts him in an even more sinister light.  He looks WAY too pretty and baby-faced to have led a life that includes murdering people with his bare hands.  Then again, the best serial killers are the ones no one would suspect.

David said that they (he and Liza) had 14 years of foreplay.  Does he mean that's how long they've known each other?  If so, that's odd because he delivered Colby at an inn when the roads were washed out.  They need to make up their mind as to how long he and Liza have known each other vs how old Colby is.

Will the mayor win the next election?  If she doesn't, how will David be able to hold a hammer over people's heads?

Cara calls Jake and tells him that Angie had the baby and it was not delivered in the hospital.  Jake tells Amanda (with whom he has been making out) about it.  Amanda says:  "You make calls, I'll drive!"  Then they leave.  Uh, where's Trevor?

This baby story is making me SICK!  Jesse and Angie's baby DIED, and not only does Jesse hand over the abandoned baby to her as their own, but he has Brot bury his bio daughter ... where?  A state park?

I know Jesse is overwhelmed and realizes he made a really stupid decision (and involved Brot in it), but this is SO wrong on SO many levels!  You'd think he would have at least thought back to when Frankie was a baby and his father-in-law was the kingpin of a baby-stealing/selling operation.  Jesse and Angie had to go through a lot just to get Frankie back after her father convinced her to give the baby up (he then SOLD Frankie).  The birth mother will want her baby back eventually and Jesse won't have a leg to stand on now that there is technology to identify DNA.  For that matter, for all they know, the birth mother was NOT the person who put the baby in the car.  What if someone stole her baby from HER and then did that?  They know NOTHING about the baby.

Jesse has to make this RIGHT!

What kind of cop leaves his police car unlocked while he goes on foot patrol?

Doesn't anyone ever say "No" to AJ?  You know what happens to little boys who never hear the world "No"?  They grow up to be JAR.

Was I the only one that DID hear a brief baby's cry (the baby was still not all the way out)?  It was not coming from the baby in the squad car.

Oh, I do NOT like this storyline of Angie and Jesse's baby dying and Jesse and Brot swapping in the abandoned baby.  That is all kinds of wrong!  It's bad enough that their baby died!  Of course, I haven't seen Thursday's show yet -- maybe they WON'T swap the baby, but the temptation will probably be too great and they WILL.

I can understand why Jesse might not have any kind of first-aid equipment with him since he was off-duty, but Brot should have had SOMETHING in his squad car to treat Angie and/or the baby (like an air pump, sterile gloves, moist towelettes ... SOMETHING.

JAR says the beach house has a "good energy". Really? Then how come the only stuff we've seen going on there has been BAD energy? Every time eBabe goes there it is or ends up being a bad energy situation. And really, given all the bad energy that emanates from both JAR and Annie on any given day, even without the beach house factor, that place practically vibrates with bad energy.
BZZZZTT!!! Liza cannot enter surveillance footage into evidence like it's a Perry Mason moment. That has to vetted OUTSIDE of the presence of the jury. The Defense may want to have its own experts verify the authenticity of the tape, for instance, and both sides have to argue its merit or lack thereof so that the judge can decide if its probative/inculpatory/exculpatory value outweighs the predujicial/inflammatory influence, etc., in the interest of the defendant getting a fair trial.

OBJECTION! Liza is editorializing, testifying and leading the witness. She's just off on her own rant. Jack doesn't even object. Greatest lawyer in the world, huh? I don't THINK so.

I can't fathom why, in this day and age, some parents to opt to not want to know the sex of their baby until it's born. You're going to find out eventually, after all, so why not be prepared with names, color-themed items, etc.? It seems to me that not knowing it ahead of time just means you have more to do and decide upon at exactly the time that you need to devote almost ALL of your time to the baby. Nostalgia can be nice, but people didn't know the sex of their baby ahead of time in the past because there was no way TO know.

Why is Amanda arguing with David about what Trevor may or may not have that's causing a fever? How about you STFU and TAKE HIM TO THE HOSPITAL or bathe him in tepid water or something like THAT?

Wow, they actually put Adam and Scott in orange jumpsuits. Sparkling new and completely wrinkle-free orange jumpsuits, but jumpsuits, nonetheless. That would be a normal thing (except for the spotless and wrinkle-free part), but most people that are put into PVPD cells wear their own clothes.

Oh PUH-lease! David, world-reknowned cardiologist/surgeon couldn't spot a simple EAR INFECTION in a baby! I don't believe THAT for a second! That's practically the first thing to check for with a baby.

Jake really does sound heartbroken.

Aidan was never the best of characters but he has taken a nasty turn and I don't like it AT ALL. At least before all this he was a quasi-good-guy. Now? Between his utterly inexplicable relationship with Annie and his nefarious motives and manipulations of Kendall, there's nothing left to like about him.

Given what she's just been through, Annie is amazingly perky and alert. In fact, it seems like the only reason she's there NOW is because she's chained to the hospital bed.

We've been saying all along that Trevor is probably not David's biological child because they NEVER did a DNA test. Amanda was basing the parentage on the size of the baby in utero.

Annie tells Colby that she could have walked away with Adam's entire fortune if she had turned him in after the ceremony. If she's talking divorce, I don't THINK so. She might be entitled to HALF of what was acquired DURING the marriage, but not his entire fortune.

Are we supposed to believe that Amanda is pregnant and already having morning sickness?

You know Vincent Irizarry didn't REALLY swab little Trevor's mouth, because any REAL baby would have gummed it HARD and/or gagged on it. Not that I would expect them to actually poke a swab into the poor little baby's mouth for the sake of a storyline.

That IS a new Junior Junior, right? I can't tell if it is a new child actor(s) or if the previous ones have gone through a significant growth spurt in the last month or so.

Ryan asks Erica how she managed to grow up in a single parent home and get through it undamaged. UNDAMAGED? ROTFLMAO! Erica is the exceptionally neurotic person she IS in large part because of the emotional damage caused by her father's abandonment of her and her mother, not to mention him pimping her out to Richard Fields when she was 13 or 14. It's been an ongoing storyline from day ONE of the show!

Now SCOTT is wielding a gun. What IS it with Chuck Pratt's fascination with guns? Is he a frustrated cowboy? There have been shootings off and on over the years, but I've never seen so many people with guns on AMC until this last year. Then Annie picks it up points it at Zach, then fires it 3 times into the ceiling before pointing it at him again. Isn't there some sort of condition of her release that she not be around guns?

I think it's funny that the poetry page that Zach will see is called the very lengthy villadiodatipoetrysociety.com, but Kendall's password to it is "ian". Not only is it an INCREDIBLY stupid and easy-to-crack password, but no modern s/w is going to accept a miniscule 3-letter password. I can understand how her peabrain couldn't remember anything else, though, and she will, after all, be exhausted after typing that long URL.

The fact that Amanda is even CONSIDERING David's proposal that they have another child together puts her in the category of Too-Stupid-To-Live (TSTL)! Yeah, conceiving and having a another child to put into that lunatic's hands, not to mention doing so on the vague promise that he MIGHT go for joint custody of their children and allow her to live with her own husband is a GREAT idea!

On pinevalleypodcast.com someone said that we need a new nickname for Annie. She's no longer Blandie and InSannie doesn't seem to work as well these days. My suggestion is, now that she's going to marry Adam (maybe), who is more than a little bit into senior citizenship, perhaps we should call her GrAnnie

I know babies have fast heartbeats, but do children have heartbeats as fast as they are portraying with Emma? If Emma can actually hear that, it must be driving her crazy. In fact, maybe the fact that she can hear her heartbeat is what's making it go fast in the first place.

It was pretty irresponsible for Erica to bring Ian to the hospital to visit Mommy. Hospitals are full of SICK people, after all. She could be exposing him to Swine Flu for all she knows, and I shuddered when I heard them say that Ian was in the playroom at the hospital. Oh yeah, THAT'S a great place to bring a toddler that likes to put things in his mouth. At the very least, kids are usually carrying all sorts of germs that vulnerable people in the hospital can ill-afford (no pun intended) to come in contact with. I'm thinking Erica was actually using Ian as a prop to get her in to see Kendall just in case. And where is Spike during all this?

I know it's all a ruse on Jesse's part, but it's a pretty LAME ruse. Why would the police chief need to write a report about a stabbing that occurred in the prison? What's he going to do, go to the prison, arrest an inmate and throw her in jail? Wouldn't the incident be handled within the prison?

Speaking of Jesse, I'm thinking he's not getting any lovin' TONIGHT. It's more likely he's sleeping on the balcony.

Obviously, based on the expression on Annie's face when Adam said he knew Emma had killed Stuart, Emma did NOT kill Stuart. They are certainly telegraphing that ADAM is the one who did it. At least that's what they want us to think right NOW.

Erica's upset because "Kendall hardly reacted to Ian". Well that's no surprise -- she's hardly reacted to Ian since before he was born. Okay, I'm being a little harsh, because Kendall DID eventually warm up to him, but it took a f**k of a long time!

Oopsy, looks like Kendall is going to have to go to prison after all. I don't blame the impersonator for not wanting to go back, given that she was just STABBED!

Amanda tells Jake to forget DNA -- HE will always be Trevor's father. Uh, speaking of DNA, why doesn't someone do a DAMN DNA TEST on the baby???

A christening is a religious ceremony -- aren't they supposed to renounce the devil, etc.?

Why didn't they take the time to put Trevor in a dressier outfit than a khaki romper and a sweater? I did enjoy him being alert, vocalizing and generally being active, though.

Speaking of inappropriate appearance at a christening, did you notice that eBabe was wearing black nail polish?

Kendall says that being locked in a room 24/7 is driving her stark raving MAD. Uh, she was stark raving mad WAAAAY before she got locked up (not that she EVER spends 24 hours in that room).

Annie left without seeing whatever it was she demanded that Emma show her (in the guise of getting Emma to leave the room). BAD Annie!

I still think it's hilarious at how Stewie always gets his diaper changed (sometimes along with being fed and burped) in a matter of seconds :-) Do they have some sort of machine in the other room where you drop a baby in one end and a few seconds later he comes out the other end changed, fed and clean in the same amount of time it takes to to walk 3-4 feet to pick him up on the other side of the machine? Does the baby slide out a chute and you catch him, or does he land on some nice, soft pillows in a bin? Or is it like the microwave, and the baby just rotates on a big platter until he's done? Did Jayne Jetson know about this? That Yacht Club sure has a lot of amenities for its guests. I wonder if it provides earplugs free of charge so the other guests don't hear Stewie screaming all night.

For someone so determined not to play by Aidan's rules, Annie folded faster than a house of cards on the shoulder of a freeway.

Why is Jesse putting out an APB on Annie when she's only been missing for a short time? She was late showing up for an appt, but she DID show up, then she took off again. Of course, she SHOULD have shown up on at least one more casino camera on the outside, so that part is cause for concern by some.

BC - Tue, 10/6/09

Let me preface this by saying I only saw part of the show. We had a power outage/surge/something-or-other and I lost some of the show. My TV was off at the time, but suddenly a woman speaking Chinese started blaring out of the speakers that I have connected to the TV. Now THAT was weird. When it powered back up, my Tivo continued to record AMC, but since we have Soapnet here, I foolishly stopped the continued recording, planning to just wait for the Soapnet one. Except ... when I got up today (in the afternoon), I saw a page for the weekly emergency broadcast signal test which was from 2:54 am. The Comcast box got froze at that point, so I missed the repeat of Tuesday's episode _and_ today's ABC AMC _and_ a movie I recorded overnight. F**king cable box.

Wow, that overhead paging operator is a little excited. I'm pretty sure they train them to be a little more even-toned, not matter HOW dire the situation is. She sounded like the sky was about to fall as she urgently paged Angie. She also said over the speaker that it was an MVA. Don't they usually use CODES for things like that? Otherwise you have NON-medical people getting all stressed out (even more than they already ARE), pestering the staff and generally getting in the way.

Angie seems surprised that Frankie was in the car with Madison, who was just rolled in from the ambulance. That's kind of weird, considering they were talking mere SECONDS before about him driving Madison to Oakhaven; in fact, their conversation about FRANKIE DRIVING THE CAR was interrupted by the overhead page).

I lost whatever happened after the 30-minute mark on Tuesday (after Jake and Amanda discussed how David would eventually implode without any plotting and scheming on their side), then got a little bit back in a smaller segment. I saw Liza hand the baby over to Bailey to spend some time with him, saw Tad talk to Colby and recommend that she cut Liza some slack, saw Madison being wheeled out (with reassurances from her father -- you know THAT won't end well), and Frankie told Randi that Madison confessed to killing North, thereby letting Frankie off the hook.

Robin "What happened after that?" Coutellier

OT Comcast Rant:
Why do Comcast boxes (and it doesn't seem to matter which brand it is) have SO many problems? I very rarely have problems with my Tivo, and it actually RESPONDS quite quickly to its remote control, whereas the Comcast ones are always sluggish. Every few days you have to unplug it as the response to the remote gets more and more sluggish, sometimes to an extreme degree (30 seconds to a minute to respond to a SINGLE button press, assuming it responds at all). I can SEE the light on the box flash, indicating that it received a signal from the remote, so it's not like the signal completely missed the box and flew off in the direction of a coffee pot. Even on a good day you can never stop playback where you WANT it to stop except by sheer luck, and sometimes (quite often) you can't get it to stop at ALL when it's racing forward or backward. What pieces of crap! There's NO excuse for such universally crappy equipment/software for so many years. I had been without a cable box for about a year before I recently moved, but the ones I had prior to that (I went through several of them), although not DVRs, had similar problems as far as the remote response went. If my 4-yr-old Tivo can do these things just fine and in a peppy manner, why can't newer Comcast boxes do these very basic things?

The Comcast box I have now is a dual-tuner DVR, and the single-tuner Tivo gets its signal from that box. Sometimes I deal directly with the Comcast box if I want to record two programs at once or if I want to watch On-Demand, but trying to watch playback from the Comcast box is like pulling teeth -- it's not even worth it to TRY to go back a few seconds if you missed what someone said or to try to speed through commercials (which may be an underlying STRATEGY to try to force you to watch them). I've finally come to the conclusion that the best method of watching shows I record on the Comcast DVR (Pace brand, in this case) is to set up a manual recording via Tivo to record on Channel 1 for the specified amount of time, then go to the Comcast side, navigate to the recorded program or On-Demand choice, and then start playback of a program to watch later on the Tivo. It's annoying to do it that way, and I don't get the actual program title (other than the vague description of "On Demand" in my Tivo program list, but it's a much more pleasant experience to actually WATCH it that way.

My sister's Comcast box freezes quite often (sometimes DAILY), and if she unplugs it for more than about 5-10 seconds, it loses ALL her recorded programs. My Tivo has experienced NUMEROUS power outages, but I think I've only lost all my programs ONCE in 4 years, if that, and I think it was just a fluke, not a power outage.

F**king cable box.

Baby Stewart has quite a widow's peak. Either that or they're just combing it that way.

Why are Krystal and Tad even TALKING about getting back together? They never had the kind of chemistry that they BOTH wanted. They got together because they had a child, and they were good friends who loved each other well enough, but not in a one-true-love kind of way. They were tired of the angst and drama, though, and basically SETTLED for each other.

Tad lectures Jake on how Jake's first go-to solution is always a deception or a lie. Pot, Kettle! I agree that Jake does have a tendency to do that, but Tad is hardly in a position to lecture about something that he's done over and over and over again. Of course, this IS sore spot for Tad, whose child was kept from HIM for so many years.

Madison's father's lawyers will be pretty stupid if they don't bring up the collusion and conflict-of-interest among the husband/wife/son about committing a woman with whom they CLEARLY have ongoing hostilities. Others may not know about the blackmail, but there are plenty of witnesses to other things. They can probably easily ascertain that Jesse and/or Randy were in Washington when the DA was killed. The entire police force was on the alert for Madison because Madison was out to get Randi. SOMEONE would talk. Not that I'm on the side of the father, who is an over-the-top, actively spewing asshole.

Why are so many people bringing BABIES and CHILDREN to a dance marathon?

Why is Jake manning the phones while wearing scrubs?

Why is the other guy with the exceptionally bulging muscles manning the phones instead of out dancing where he can put those muscles to use?

Did Zach leave Ian in the care of just Kendall? What if something happens and she has to take Ian (you know, the baby with the heart problem) to the hospital?

It's bad enough that they let Annie stay out on house arrest, but why on EARTH would she be allowed to go out to a dance marathon, given her FREQUENT escape attempts (and successes)?

I thought it was HILARIOUS when, after Erica snarkily told Annie that she needs a thicker foundation to cover those scales, Annie worriedly looks in the mirror -- LOL!

Obviously Liza gave only MINOR lip service to the concept of attorney/client privilege, given that she's spilling the beans to David about the loan from Adam to Zach with relatively little prodding on his part.

Are they setting little Trevor up to have an emotional detachment disorder? I ask because so far he's bonded with a) the nanny, b) Amanda, c) Taylor, and d) Randi. That's a LOT of Mama figures for such a short time period.
