BC - Wed-Thu, 5/25-26/11

Why does Maya not want to wear a "summer uniform"?  JAR mentioned that they have them and she said she had thin bones and catches cold easily.  Both his question and her answer were way out of left field, so there has to be a purpose.  The thing that comes into my mind first is that maybe she has a history of cutting herself and doesn't want anyone to see scars or fresh cuts.

For being unconscious (or even asleep) while tied together, back-to-back with Marissa and sitting up on the floor, Bianca is holding her head relatively upright with remarkable ease and control.

Tad said it took 15 minutes for him to find a parking space to go into Krystal's.    No one EVER has trouble finding a parking space in Pine Valley.  In any case, most of the time they use the PV Transporter to simply dematerialize/materialize from one place to another.  It's the only explanation to account for how they get from one place to another not only within a couple of minutes, but within SECONDS.  Maybe they are all holograms.

I WILL say, however, that at one point they had some stock footage they used of downtown PV, which was quite quaint, and there WAS bumper-to-bumper traffic on their narrow, 2-lane Main Street.  That was back in the late-70s/early-80s timeframe, I think.  And, of course, they later went through their downtown-PV-is-really-downtown-Manhattan phase where looking down from the roof of the Chandler building (as Leslie Coulson dangled from it) showed a six-lane boulevard, jam-packed with honking cars and buses -- at night.  BTW, Leslie not only survived the fall of MANY stories, she sneaked out of the Emergency Room when no one was looking, although she WAS somewhat shaky, stiff and limping.

Erica is surprised that the Valley Inn Dining Room is empty -- it's just for THEM!  Why would she be surprised (yes, I know it's Jane, not Erica); no one goes there anymore to eat or drink, and anyone who needs lodgings goes to the Yacht Club.

Jane trying to pull herself together to handle Bianca at the hospital was kind of odd.  She kept telling herself "She's NOT your daughter, she's NOT your daughter..."  Did Jane lose a daughter, and does it have anything to do with Erica or someone close to Erica?  You would think she would be chanting to herself to BELIEVE Bianca was her daughter so that she could act in at least a semi-appropriate manner.

Ricky should have done his homework.  Kendall DOES have experience with guns.

BC - Wed, 12/1/10

Bianca tells Kendall that Spike and Miranda are at school. WTF? It's the day after Thanksgiving -- why would they be at school? Their school has a play ON Thanksgiving and they don't get Friday off, either. Man, what a sucky school!

Why is David breathing so hard and fast while in a coma? Does he have a fever?

Caleb starts off his speech in the courtroom by saying Erica is NOT a runner and has never run from anyone or anything in her LIFE! BZZZZZZT!!! She's run on several occasions. For instance, before Bianca was born, Erica was on the run (for the murder of Lars Bogard, I think) for several months before she was caught and thrown in prison with Kathy Bates. She ran away with Bianca when Bianca was a baby and renamed her to Betsy. She wore jeans. She started Enchantment as a pseudo-Avon company, marketing it as good makeup for people who couldn't afford the expensive stuff (she was hiding out from Travis at the time). She tried to break Jeremy out of prison and take off with him in a helicopter. And who can forget her sojourn as Desiree of the Desert? And those are just SOME of the well-known instances that come to mind. She is a recovering drug addict with the means to flee whenever and wherever she wants. That doesn't necessarily mean she shouldn't get bail, but please spare us the blarney about her not being a runner.

David is in critical condition. He's in a coma. Everyone in town hates his guts. He's also a prisoner. Yet there is no guard to keep him in or anyone else out of his room.

Liza is the DA. Why does SHE have to work on papers to transfer David to lockup? Isn't that the PVPD's job? At first I thought she might still be his attorney, which makes me want to vomit, but then Jack managed to get in to see David by pretending to be his lawyer mere moments after Liza walked out of the room, with the same guard standing right there. Then again, members of the PVPD aren't known for their massive brainpower or quick-wittedness.

When the Thanksgiving play started, all I could think of was Wednesday Addams in the Addams Family Values movie where she played a Native American princess who then proceeded to mastermind a massacre of the pilgrims as payback for what was done to the Native Americans.

I can't believe Tad just said to Krystal: "All right, now you make sure you get Jenny and our little SQUAW back to the restaurant" I can't believe they put that in the script! That's like using the N-word! There's some controversy about the origins of the word or it's actual meaning, but it's widely considered to be a derogatory and racist slur nowadays.

Jack tells Greenlee and Ryan that David is on a bus on his way to prison now. For WHAT? They just glossed right over that part! No trial, no nothing -- just off you go. I was wondering why they were making a big deal about him being transferred to "lockup" and how lockup might be different than being in a cell downstairs.

And there's David, lurking outside the penthouse. He must have escaped. Gee, what a surprise.

Did it ever occur to Tad to simply ask to BUY a turkey from the Yacht Club or have THEM prepare a meal for them? Are we supposed to root for him and Jake STEALING one from them?

Okay, I have to admit that I did NOT expect to see Erica holding the gun that shot David. Notice I didn't say she SHOT him, but she is holding the gun (I'm guessing that Kendall or someone else shot him; if it was Kendall, she doesn't remember it). I DID expect something bad to happen to David, but not quite so soon. As I said, he's now known to me as "Twice Cooked Pork".

Emma just got home from the hospital last night (having had holes drilled into her little head) and she's very upset about her mother's upcoming marriage to the mean old man who lives in the big, spooky house. So why is Ryan out and about so he can make up with Erica? Shouldn't he be home with Emma? Can't he be WITH his little daughter for even a DAY? Even ANNIE is wondering WTF is up that he left Emma to be with Erica, although she seems more concerned that Emma is now alone with her secret than that Emma has some extra holes in her head.

Why does Trevor have to be in a hospital crib for a simple checkup? Whatever happened to the parent holding the baby until the doctor comes in, and then the doctor examining the baby on an exam table?

Does the church where Kendall and Aidan are hiding out have a refrigerator (not to mention electricity)? Kendall bought that soup at a general store at LEAST 24 hours ago, and probably longer than that. Now she's about to feed it to Aidan again. Ewwww! I hope it's VEGETABLE soup.

I still can't believe how callous and unfeeling Kendall and Zach have been about the woman he paid to stay in jail in Kendall's place. Now Kendall is appreciating the fact that she is on the run instead of in jail. I can understand that she doesn't want to be in jail, but you'd think she'd feel at LITTLE bit bad about the fact that the other woman was f**king STABBED! The fact that she and Zach and Aidan all think that escaping, hiding out in a secret room and/or being on the run is the right thing to do is just mind-boggling. Their sense of entitlement knows no bounds.

Will the book Kendall was writing while in the "safe room" be published while she is on the run? Will any of her books be published because she shopped it around, as opposed to behind her back?

Erica tells Annie that the fashion designer who purportedly wants to design a dress for Annie is currently doing a fashion shoot at Lake Coney. Annie (knowing this is a con) says she'll just grab her wedding shoes and go. Just how big IS "Lake Coney" that anyone can just drive to it and instantly find someone else who happens to be there? Maybe Lake Coney is the name of a trendy nightspot or restaurant.

So, did Annie, yet AGAIN, shimmy up the fire escape? In a DRESS and HEELS? Of course she did.

A package is delivered to the main house and Scott signs for it. A) the deliveryman doesn't even say whom the package is for, and b) why was it delivered to the main house? Doesn't Adam still have that "crack security team" in place? Even during NON-threatening times he should have guards at the gates that, at a minimum, sign for packages so that the people at the house don't have to deal with mundane things like that.

Aren't rookies usually teamed up with more seasoned officers? Not Natalia. Oh well, I buy her not having a partner WAY better than her, as a cadet, notifying someone (in the middle of a casino, no less) that her husband is dead or her being involved in securing murder scenes.

Kendall chants the Slater mantra to Zach: "Always only you" The part they cut out: "... except when it's somebody else."

I think Aidan's a little rusty. He points his gun at Jesse and the two other uniformed guards/officers and says (regarding Kendall, whom he has in a (fake) chokehold): "Come any closer and she's DEAD!" Uh, shouldn't he be pointing the gun at HER head? How is he supposed to kill her when the gun isn't even pointed at her?

Even if it is proven that someone else killed Stuart, won't Kendall still have to do time for escaping from custody (more than once)? She and her various friends and cohorts escape from justice on a pretty regular basis. And Aidan seems to be involved almost every time.

Robin "Why hasn't he ever done prison time for that?" Coutellier

Does the hospital have more than one chapel? I ask because now there are individual chairs in there now, whereas when Babe died (in JAR's arms), there were benches (all the better to cradle a dying woman). And chapel or not, are lit candles allowed in the hospital?

As mentioned on RATSA by Hallie, on the previous show, Angie said a nurse could have stitched up Kendall. On today's show, repeating the end of the previous day's show, she said an intern could have stitched her up. Continuity, folks!

Didn't Kendall's double have to take Kendall's anti-rejection medications while in prison, considering that Kendall had a heart transplant?

Adam gets a dig in at Ryan by saying that he (Adam) and Annie will have a long and happy marriage, something RYAN never got the hang of. Pot, Kettle! Adam has been married how many times? Let's see, off the top of my head I can think of Althea (off-screen), Brooke, Dixie, Erica, Arlene, Erica, Gloria, Liza. And there are probably one or two I'm forgetting. Ryan: Gillian, Greenlee, Annie.
