BC - Fri, 8/5/11

Did you hear there was a fire at Oakhaven? No, actually, I did NOT because they jumped ahead and it happened off-screen between JaNut showing Erica the gasoline she had saved up in a shampoo bottle and Kendall and Bianca talking about the fire.

I really HATE the fact that they are showing T__ C___ commercials during AMC, but even more than that I hate that they are showing them as the last commercial before returning to AMC after a spate of commercials, so even if you FF, it's hard to miss at least part of it as you jockey to get to the beginning of the next segment of AMC. How UTTERLY disrespectful to longtime fans of AMC!

I just LOVE JaNut! It was GREAT when she reminded Kendall that she was her cellmate back in 1991 or 1992. Damn, that's about 20 years ago! Kendall had already been aged to her early twenties by then, which means the current Kendall should be in her early 40s. I'm not going to try to pin ages at this point, though, because trying to figure out the Erica/Kendall age timewarp is enough to give ANYONE a migraine.

So not only did Oakhaven burn, but it burned to the ground? That's some kind of fire!

Leo has BEEN in Bhutan or is GOING to be in Bhutan? Or are they in Bhutan NOW? WTF? I can see why David's legs would be cramped after the long drive from Pine Valley to Bhutan. I had to look up Bhutan, which, according to Wikipedia is described as: "officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked state in South Asia, located at the eastern end of the Himalayas and bordered to the south, east and west by the Republic of India and to the north by the People's Republic of China."

Hmm, Zach has a tan, too. That David sure knows how to treat his living corpses well! Can't have them looking wan, now can we?

I'm not even sure how I'm feeling about all this. On the one hand, this is GREAT STUFF! On the other hand, it's pretty far-fetched. But since they are going away ANYWAY, WTH? Might  as well pull out all the stops!

BC - Tue, 11/23/10

Good to see that those PV Courthouse bailiffs are right on top of things and that the safety of everyone in the courtroom is paramount on their minds. Marissa stormed in and smacked David across the face and no one did a thing to stop her. WTF do they do when someone comes in with a knife or gun (I doubt anyone has to go through a metal detector) or simply starts assaulting people? Oh THERE he is (singular). The bailiff doesn't make a move until the judge TELLS him to, though. What if the judge were being attacked? Would the bailiff act of his own volition then, or would she have to play charades with him while she's being choked or shot or whatever like in "Young Frankenstein" when he's trying to get his assistants to give the creature a sedagive (aka sedative).

After David goes on and on about how he loved Greenlee and how Ryan was supposed to take the fall for his death because he was trying to steal Greenlee, blah, blah, blah, and Marissa goes on a tirade against David, and David starts to lambaste the onlookers in the courtroom for drinking to his demise, etc., THEN the judge says he's only supposed to stick to the facts. How did she get appointed as a judge? Did she win the seat on the judge's bench via a box of Cracker Jacks?

Jesse says that they are waiting at the courthouse for a ride to the station. Aren't the PVPD, the Mayor's office and the Courthouse all in the same building? I know that the Mayor's office and the PVPD are.

Marissa wants to go shopping. Is she going to slut herself up? Wow, while I was typing that question, Marissa tells Krystal that Annie told her that she wasn't sexy enough to hold onto JAR, so she wants Krystal to help her shop for sexier clothes. Well, if she wants to slut herself up, Krystal WOULD be the go to person for it.

Oh PUH-LEEZE! You can't just padlock someone out of their home on a whim, even if it IS in someone's will. You can EVICT them, but unless there's some crime taking place, it would be illegal to abruptly padlock people out of their home while they are elsewhere. You ESPECIALLY cannot, without any notice whatsoever, padlock someone out of their abode for the purpose of moving someone else IN. What about all their stuff? They'll "send" it to them? That means strangers and others are going to go through their very private belongings and not giving them access to so much as their own toothbrush. What about prescription medications that might be there? What about a safe?

This is utterly LUDICROUS!

Oh, and David has been lying about Wildwind -- I distinctly remember him saying that he BOUGHT Wildwind.

Wildwind isn't THAT bad for Caleb. They DO have lots of grounds to ride horses on, etc., and space between Wildwind and other abodes. There's also an abandoned well that's been boarded up and unboarded again for no apparent reason. There are acres of forest on the Wildwind estate. Of course, there's really no such thing as space in PV, where anyone at all can walk right past armed guards for the sole purpose of just walking onto into rich people's houses, unannounced, and taunting them.

Poetry bores me. I don't get it. I mean I understand it, it just doesn't DO anything for me other than annoy me. Some people have an "ear" for it, but I'm not one of them because my brain automatically glosses right over them. Maybe if poetry were set to music it might work for me (there are a lot of SONGS I like); otherwise it just falls flat. I don't want to have to decipher what someone is saying on my soap -- I have word puzzles for that kind of thing and I only work on those if I WANT to do so.

Natalia is talking about how they moved a lot when she was a kid. Huh? They made it pretty clear that Jesse found his way to Colorado where Natalia's mother, who was a nurse, took care of him. Since there were in Colorado when Jesse hit Pine Valley again, either they never left or they moved BACK there, which would be a really bad idea as far as track-covering goes. Mind you, when he first came back Jesse SAID that he had traveled all over the world (without a passport, apparently). The Colorado/Rebecca/Natalia storyline came later, and we were pissed off because how could he have settled down with a common-law-wife and a daughter Natalia's age if he was moving around every few weeks or months? So which is, it AMC?

BC - Wed, 3/18/09

Ho hum. Another day, another bout of grief sex. Alicia Minshew probably said "Oh, for God's sake, not AGAIN!" when she saw the script. Did Kendall even call the nanny and let her know she wouldn't be home all night? Where was Emma? How many woman is Emma going to wake up to finding in Daddy's bed, at the breakfast table, or worse, in front of the fireplace? Hmmm, they actually DID go to bed instead of on the floor in front of the fireplace. Maybe that was a concession to Kendall's recent coma and surgery (not to mention her bony body).

Uh, since when is a person who wants custody allowed to be in the other person's house when a search warrant it being carried out? It's not like the child is THERE at the moment, so David should NOT have been included in ANY way. If nothing else he could have PLANTED something to be found by the police. Then Jesse and his crew go off to do the search and leave JAR and David together in the foyer. Oh yeah, THAT'S a good idea. TOTALLY bogus! AFAIC, if anything "bad" were to happen in that foyer while those two are there, the PVPD could be sued for bringing David into the house and leaving him unescorted.

I thought Amanda and Jake were going to make very, VERY sure that there would be NO WAY anyone would find out her secret THIS time -- so why are they yakking about it in a house that is brimming over with people?

Did Aidan just tell Zach "I have an update on Wyan"? Who is he now, Elmer Fudd?

How can JAR not answering the phone be obstruction? I mean, if the law REALLY wants to know if Adam was the one calling, they have to go through LEGAL channels and get a court order to get the phone tapped. Jesse ordering him to answer it or he'll be charged with obstruction was LAUGHABLE.

Why is "Greenlee's body" at PVH? Wasn't she found up in the water near Connecticut? Kendall says the body was in the river. She wasn't listening, was she?

Kendall was in the hospital corridor with Ryan, Zach and Aidan. She's had sex with all three of them, and grief sex, while still married to Zach, with the other two. This has such an ICK FACTOR written all over it! Okay, so Ryan missed the gathering by seconds, but still ...

Even after EVERYTHING that has happened, there are STILL decanters in the Chandler living room. WTF??? If they REALLY want to retain custody of Little Adam (not to mention help keep JAR sober), you'd think the FIRST thing they would do is get rid of the booze -- the FIRST thing!

Oh look, there's David lurking around and planting something NOW. Well, he's probably spiking the contents of the decanters, but that's STILL planting something.

They're in Connecticut -- so why is JESSE involved in the search and rescue? He wasn't even at the wedding.

Again, they are in CONNECTICUT, which is where Kendall collapsed -- so why is David examining Kendall at PVH?

I'm pretty sure that the taped confession Annie made to the doctor would NOT be admissible in a court of law. For one thing, she is not in POLICE custody, she was not read her rights as far as her being in the loony bin go (in JAIL, maybe, but not in a medical treatment facility), and she was not informed that their "sessions" were being recorded. Also, is she being represented by counsel? At the very LEAST she should have a public defender or some kind of "guardian ad litem" to look out for her interests, but there doesn't appear to be anything of the kind in place. The Defense has a right to have her examined by an independent psychiatrist. I would think that would be REQUIRED, for that matter, before a competency hearing for purposes of standing trial could be held.

Why is Amanda wearing such a tiny little coat and a v-necked top (and no gloves) out in the snow? JAR isn't wearing gloves, either. Then he sat on the cement bench near Babe's grave. My first thought was that his butt must be FREEZING. Then Amanda sat next to him. Now there are TWO freezing butts. They didn't even clear the snow off of them first!

BC - Wed-Thu,10/15-16/08

Ryan insists to Jesse that Emma is SAFE WITH HIM. Well, she isn't WITH him, is she? She's with the babysitter/nanny at the movies.

Why would there be a tornado at the beach? I've heard of waterspouts, but I was under the impression that a BIG tornado needs a LOT of flat ground to form. PV has an ocean and mountains (the mountains or very large hills part is usually what defines a "valley").

It sounds like Greenlee is coming down with whatever Kendall had that made her voice hoarse. The upcoming screaming and all the crying she has to do probably isn't going to help.

Did you see that look on Jesse's face when Angie came into the main room of The Comeback where he was talking with Natalia? PRICELESS! It was a "who me", "why look, it's my lovely wife", "what woman, I don't see any other woman here", "nobody here but us chickens" kind of look.

Technically, other than a basement, the tunnels are probably the safest place on the Chandler estate (well, the panic room might be a tad safer). That doesn't mean they'll be safe in PV, of course. Too bad no one is hanging out at Wildwind, because the mausoleum (calling FAC Crypt!) would probably make a good shelter. That's one heavy-duty little structure.

Where ARE Kendall and Zach? Are they at a cottage on the Pine Valley Ocean or somewhere on the New Jersey coast near Sea City? If they can hear the sirens so loudly, they must not be very far away from town at ALL.

Why isn't there anyone on the staff working in the lobby at the movie theater? There are only the sitter (is it Corrina or Rachel -- they're kind of interchangeable) and Annie screaming for Emma and running around in circles.

Correction re Friday's Boogie Chillen -- Petey was touching a FORKLIFT, not a post, when he was hit by lightning.

Petey was looking very Ferris Bueller today when Colby woke him up in his dream.

Wait a second -- did Petey do yet another science "experiment" and arrange to have the flashover injury in order to convince Colby that he has had a change in personality? They should check to see if there was any other damage other than to Petey.

Is PV below sea level? I ask because Taylor, Jake and Amanda were all on the yacht near the end of the show and Taylor was sitting sadly next to a window -- which showed a view looking DOWN on multi-story buildings, as if the yacht were on top of a high-rise. Was the yacht beached uptown during Hurricane "Spike"? And speaking of bad weather, you'd think the yacht would be somewhat rocky/rolly with such a big storm brewing, but it seems to be on rock solid ground (bringing me back to wondering, yet again, if the yacht has been beached).

Also, having just read Carl Hiaasen's book "Flush", I now am wondering how often Amanda has the septic tank on the yacht cleaned out. Does she have a service do that, or would she just haul a big bucket down to the ladies lavatory at the yacht club? I bet she has to use bio-degradable TP, too. Who watches the yacht when Amanda isn't there? Do the doors even lock? Does she ever get seasick? Do her dates ever pee over the side, just because they can? Is there a mold problem what with always being on the water (unless, of course, they ARE beached on top of a high rise)? Can the people eating at the Yacht Club see into her windows at night when her lights are on?

Opal is wearing a purple outfit with a purple coat -- was anyone else wondering why she wasn't wearing a red hat ;-)
