BC - Wed, 9/21/11

Awwwww!!!  They start out the episode with MEK dedicating the show to Mary Fickett. I'm tearing up already and I'm only seconds into the episode!  Waaaaa!

Well, I guess my speculation about SMG playing the (unseen and unheard, so far) interviewer was wrong. Maybe it will still be someone we know from the past, though.

It's good to see Dr. Joe and CatRuth, even if it is bittersweet in so many ways.

ADAM!  Babe (I say with not nearly as much enthusiasm).

How can Maria not know what SMG's character meant when she said she knew she was homesick, but didn't know that PV was the place for which she was homesick? Uh, hello? Maria/Maureen? Maria's memory gradually came back as she remembered places that seemed so familiar to her and that she was drawn to, so she should have been able to "get" that. That said, it was cute and nostalgic to see the two of them return to the show that made them famous.

In-Jokes:
  • SMG's character is seeing vampires. Maria says that vampires are popular. SMG says that she was seeing them BEFORE they became so popular.
  • Maria said she had to go when she saw her cellphone ringing; she said it was an important call from Miami :-)
Tad thinks something weird is going on with all these great things happening and people showing up. Hey, there's JAMIE!  Maybe Father Clarence is making an early appearance this year.

I hate to admit it, but I was actually moved by JAR's wrenching realization that his entire life has turned to shit AND on top of all that, Babe (including the one with the Glittery Hoo-Hoo) was really, most sincerely dead. Then Babe told him to try to remember what a good man he is. Babe! WTF? No, he's NOT a good man, and if he thinks about THAT, it will only reinforce his ... shall we say "bad decisions".

Tad and Dixie met 20 years ago, hmmm? More like 22-23 years ago, and JAR is certainly older than 22. Okay, I'll let it slide; it's nowhere near as headache-inducing as trying to decipher the ages of Erica, her children, and anyone else in her long-term orbit.

They kind of telegraphed today that Stuart was going to be revived, but it still felt great when that turned out to be true! He's like the one GOOD person in PV, no matter what happened. It was also a great moment when Adam sort of channeled Stuart as a memory as he sensed Stuart's presence in the world.

Greenlee tells Zach that maybe it would have been better for everyone if he hadn't come back (because he's being loyal to David). Gee, Greenlee, the same could be said about YOU, couldn't it? I don't know which was worse, her hooking up with David or her hooking up with Ryan again.

Tidbit: John O'Hurley (who played the movie exec) is Eva La Rue's former husband (she was married to him before she was married to John Callahan).

Someone is shot. Is is Ryan or Zach? Zach had the gun to begin with, so soap logic says ZACH will inadvertently shoot himself with his own gun. I really, Really, REALLY hope it was Ryan, though. Then again, my immediate thought was the Ryan has abs of titanium, so it wouldn't matter anyway.

As predicted, Cara is pregnant.

TIDBIT:
In a hospital scene on Hot In Cleveland, they paged Dr. Bender, whom we often hear being paged at PVH Susan Lucci has played herself on the show several times, and she got another shoutout on the 6/22 show.

Does Greenlee have too much Fusion Gloppity-Goo in her hair or does she need a shampoo real bad?  PLEASE tell me that's not the new fashion!

Why would anyone care if a celebrity recommended that a notorious doctor who has committed numerous crimes and lost his license more than once be reinstated? As for the hospital, how can the liability the hospital takes on POSSIBLY be worth less than a celebrity's opinion? Even more than that, how can an INSURANCE COMPANY, whose only stake it in it is profit, allow it? For that matter, can just ANYBODY buy a hospital simply because they have the money? Wouldn't that have to have some sort of official approval? Erica is a convicted felon (more than once). Would she be ALLOWED to own a hospital? She's an addict and a baby-stealing, embezzling, constantly-on-trial celebrity.

At some point, there will be two Erica's in a room and her loved ones will have to decide which is which. So what can Erica ask them to ask her that only SHE would know? Maybe Jack will have to reveal that VERY special thing he likes her to do in the bedroom (you know, diaper him, burp him and sing him a lullaby), or possibly that doggie collar thing, given that he's such a lapdog.

I loved it that when David walked in and started to taunt Jake, Jake said:  "Hello, ASS!"  All things considered that must be soapspeak for "Hello, F**KFACE!"

Annnnnd here it comes ... Amanda and Jake start making out in the hotel room and then they have sex. Did anyone NOT see that coming from a light-year away? It's not quite grief sex, but certainly consolation sex (as JAR so eloquently described it). I hope they gave each other STDs.

Is Amanda still not using birth control? I didn't think so. Does she not have the slightest memory of what happened the LAST time she got pregnant? I didn't think so. And the last time she was pregnant JAR was one of the baby daddy candidates! And how do they plan to resolve this, given that the show is ending in September? Are they going to FF 20 years so we know how things turned out for everyone, or will they just leave it dangling?

Tidbit:  The wrapper on the money band in the video of Ricky and Diana showed that it was from Eden Falls Casino.  It appears it was a casino that was abruptly put out of business, presumably due to Ricky and Diana's dealings.

Ricky is such a PIG!  Push, push, push on the surprise (even to the bride) wedding!

How could they get married on the spur of the moment in PV?  Have the laws changed?  Back in the day, people who wanted to elope had to go over state lines to Elk Green because there was no waiting period there.

Krystal has had just a touch too much Botox recently.  She's visibly having difficulty moving the muscles around her mouth as much as she would naturally do.

I can't believe how far Kendall always allows things to go.

Misheard Line as Jane tells Jack (about the wedding:

  • What she actually said:  "And instead of rice, we can throw CZs or even glitter!"

BC - Mon, 5/9/11

Is anyone else struck by how often spouses and sweethearts visit their loved ones at the hospital or other places of work?  Have you ever seen that in real life?  Yes, people occasionally will visit at their SO's place of work, particularly if it's an informal place, such as Krystal's but normally that would be frowned upon if it happened on a regular basis (even at Krystal's, if the person visiting was, for instance, the busperson's girlfriend or wife).  It's unprofessional.  It seems like Amanda goes to the hospital and makes out with Jake on a near-daily basis.

Tad thinks Cara has too much time on her hands because she alphabetized the spice rack.  What's wrong with that?  It can be difficult to find a particular spice; most of the containers look pretty much alike, after all.  The better stores alphabetize them.  I realize he's just antsy and thinks Cara would never think to do something like that if she weren't antsy, too, but I thought I'd throw in my opinion about alphabetizing spices :-)  Since they are both antsy, perhaps they should consider that they are both HORNY and just DO something about it.

Whatever the tabloid magazine is that eBabe is holding up, it costs $4.49 in Canada.  Are tabloids really THAT expensive nowadays?  Sheesh, how do they stay in business?  Who can afford to regularly buy them at THAT price.  I remember when they used to cost about 35 cents (which is about the last time I bought one).

Not only does the Yacht Club have rooms that only have flimsy louvered closet doors on each guest room (a long-time pet peeve of mine, as many of  you know), but the handles apparently don't have locks, either.

I see Griff is still wearing his Unibomber "yeah, I'll blend" disguise.

Wow, I did NOT expect it at ALL when Miranda got upset at school because a classmate called her mother a "Lezzie".  Is that going to be a whole storyline to try to keep viewers through September, or was it just an opportunity for eBabe and Bianca to bond over what a good Mom Bianca is?

I think Cara should be arrested for insisting on visiting the sick child against the parents' express wishes.  At the very LEAST she's probably trespassing.  Then the father walks in and finds Cara lovingly caressing his little girl's face!  I would go BALLISTIC if I were him!  If they don't have a restraining order on her yet, they should get one pronto so she CAN be arrested the next time.  It doesn't matter if the child wants her to visit!  Yeah, it's a sad situation, but it's none of Cara's business, particularly when she's already suffered repercussions for prior contact with the child.  Since Jake LET her do it after only giving lip-service to keeping her away from the child, both he and the hospital should be SUED!

BC - Wed, 3/23/11

Bianca is an heiress and a business mogul in her own right.  She has big bucks and two small children.  Reese wants to take the children away (and possibly a lot of her money).  So what does Bianca do?  She hires a newly minted lawyer.  I don't think eBabe even has an office.  Her license probably hasn't even arrived in the mail yet.  She has NO experience whatsoever in divorce cases other than her own (where she just got fooled).  Hiring eBabe is a pretty stupid move for such a smart woman.

Why is Caleb even in Pine Valley?  He's a non-player.  All he does is stand around and brood and Michael Nouri is just phoning his lines in.

Erica and Jack have set a wedding date:  May 14, 2011 (a Saturday).  We'll see.

Did I miss an episode?  Nope, I see I did a Boogie Chillen for Tuesday.  All this stuff with Griff going to the casino and trying to force himself into Diana's office and consequently being beaten up seems to have happened off-camera.  I even went so far as to fish Monday and Tuesday's episodes out of the Tivo recycle bin to double-check.  The last we saw of Griffin he was about to escort Kendall to her car after it was verified that the fund-raising event had been canceled.

Wow, that was a loud snowball.  What are those snowballs made of, rocks?

What grounds would Reese have for getting sole custody of either ONE of the girls?  How heinous, irresponsible and unfit is Bianca as a mother that Reese would be able to do that?  And has Reese become a French citizen?  They have as much as said that the lawyers for Reese will try to get the girls back to France and the French courts will then give sole custody to Reese.  I'm under the impression that they are ALL American citizens, so why would the French courts favor Reese who, as it has been pointed out numerous times, has not even made the slightest effort to see the girls in a very long time.  Where has she been, prison?  If not, there isn't any valid reason for her not to have done so.

Here's a thought:  Reese may become engaged to a man so she can renounce being a lesbian and marry him (or at least SAY that's the case) in order to get custody.  Then she can attack Bianca as being unfit for still being a lesbian.  Of course, if push comes to shove, Bianca could do the same thing.  It wouldn't be believable for either one of them to hook up with a man, considering they are well-established as lesbians, but believability has never stopped the writers at AMC, and it would be a storyline they haven't done on AMC yet.  Reese might have a slight edge in that she at least TRIED to be heterosexual before she met Bianca, but Bianca has never been anything but gay, having only had one dismal date in high school to try to fit in.

Caleb tells eBabe that he doesn't really want to run Cortlandt Electronics without Erica.  Good.  Leave.

If Kendall didn't know Griff was in the hospital room with Cara and Tad, why did Kendall so boldly stride into it as it if were her destination?  She seemed utterly surprised to see him there.  She had to know Cara had just walked in, yet she didn't even glance at Cara as she strode in, making me think Cara was not the reason for her intrusion.

BC - Tue, 3/22/11

Does everyone in Pine Valley ONLY look at Pine Valley-centric things on the internet?  Does EVERYONE know about EVERY video that "goes viral"?  There are millions of things to see on the internet, yet every time anyone in PV puts anything up, regardless of the site, seemingly everyone in town (except the computer-phobic ones like Caleb) has seen it.  And Liza knows better than to go back to the place where she humiliated herself, yet she goes anyway, and wearing a tight, one-shouldered top, at that.  What time of day is it?  Is that what she wore to work as the DA?  I've made some questionable fashion choices in my working days, but I was a lot younger and I wasn't the DA.

Will Miranda Google her name and find out that she was switched at birth with AJ, JAR was her "father", a woman named after a pig was her "mother", JAR fought giving her up even when he knew she was not his biological child, and he pushed her mother over a balcony (not to mention that she was a product of rape and her mother killed her biological father and her Auntie Kendall stood trial for it)?  Of course, some of those details could get lost in all the links that would come up mentioning Erica Kane, Kendall Hart and Bianca Montgomery and involving the keywords murder, rape, trial, kidnapping, embezzlement, prison, escape, marriage, drug addiction, unabortion, divorce, coma and serial killer, along with assorted everyday keywords such as perfume, eyeliner, supermodel and fashion.

I became curious after writing the above paragraph, so I went to Wikipedia and googled some characters.  Bingo!  There are Wikipedia links for:

Bianca Montgomery
Kendall Hart
Erica Kane
Jackson Montgomery
Travis Montgomery
Barbara_Montgomery
Adam Chandler
JAR Chandler
AJ Chandler (aka Adam Chandler III)
Babe Carey
Richard Fields
Children Of All My Children
and many more, I'm sure

Reese was building a house in Paris for Bianca before they got married.  Who will get the house in the divorce settlement?

Look, there are Bianca and eBabe in the same scene.  Nope, still can't tell them apart at first glance.  Even their hair color is similar.

There were 8 candles  on AJ and Miranda's birthday cake.  AJ was six last year when he decided he wanted to be called AJ.  So is one of the candles "one to grow on"?  Once again, poor little rich boy AJ has a dismal party consisting of his parents, Miranda and Miranda's mom.  That's it.  So not only does he not have a lot of kids at the party, he has to SHARE the cake and attention with a GIRL!  And vice-versa for Miranda.  Where is Gabrielle?  She IS Miranda's sister, after all.

Erica and Caleb talk about getting a younger celebrity to draw in a younger customer base for Cortlandt Electronics.  Colby comes in bragging about her video blog fanbase and it's practically a done deal.  Cortlandt is a well-established multi-billion dollar corporation.  Can't they afford to get a REAL celebrity?

Then Erica nudges Caleb to hire Asher to head up the project.  Yeah, because Asher not only knows everything there is to know about computers, but he has lots of management experience (consisting of stalking, corporate espionage, planting viruses, hitting people over the head and being an overall henchman for Cortlandt's arch-enemy).  Plus he has a semi-romantic involvement with their new spokesperson, who is currently a hot mess.  What could possibly go wrong?  (For one thing, I doubt either Colby or Asher even know their own social security numbers, although I suspect Asher knows a lot of OTHER people's social security numbers.)

Well, now we have the answer on the adoption issue -- Reese DID legally adopt both Gabrielle and Miranda, and now she is going for full custody of both children.

Hey, JAR.  Time to give your henchman a raise to keep him on your side.  Oops, too late.  Said henchman has decided that his nefarious workdays are a thing of the past.

Erica one-ups (or one-downs, as the case may be) Liza's one-shoulder top by wearing a one-shoulder, OFF-the-shoulder dress, thus baring both shoulders.  Is it a subliminal display of power between two rivals?

Is Angie going to stay blind?  The strain of childbirth or the surge of hormones might magically fix her eyes.  Hey, it's Pine Valley -- it could happen!  In fact, maybe someone should just bonk her on the head and it will clear it right up, like slapping the side of a TV set in the olden days used to work when the horizontal hold ceased to hold.  She'd never see it coming, after all

Jack pulled some strings and now he and Erica can have that special vacation that she wanted; the one that has been booked for 2 years and they couldn't get previously.  Erica is thrilled.  Something tells me there's a prospective honeymoon couple on their FIRST wedding who is now bitterly disappointed that their own pre-booked dream honeymoon vacation has been scuttled at the last minute.

Cara said what she loved about Jake when they were in Doctors Without Borders was that he embraced the world and never ran from it. Hello? That's WHY he was in DWB -- he was running away from Pine Valley.

Tidbits:
When eBabe saw the missed call log on JAR's phone, the times Annie called (just on the one screen) were:

7:47p
7:48p
7:56p
8:03p
8:05p
8:09p
8:10p

So the question is: Why are the children at a party so late on a school night?

BC - Fri, 10/8/10

I see Erica FINALLY got her new digs finished and furnished. Unless those are Jack's new digs. I like the set, in any case.

Tidbit: Greenlee is in cell number 4.

Are we really supposed to feel warm and fuzzy because Ryan gave a key to Madison? How many times have we seen him symbolically give a key to the multitudes of women in his life? Not that any of them NEED a key since he conveniently leaves one under the planter in the hall.

Jack argues that Greenlee has family and friends and a business to run in Pine Valley and she's not about to leave all that. Oh really? She's done it before, more than once, and WITHOUT being in a coma. I don't know how he can say that with a straight face -- oh wait, yes I can. He's a lawyer.

Chandler Enterprises has already had a big press release about the nanotech project. You'd think Caleb, if not Erica, would have instantly figured out that THAT was at the crux of the whole "stealing from a dead man" thing.

I HATE it when men on soaps manhandle women! JAR has grabbed Annie's arm over and over in the last few days. Considering her own track record for mayhem and all she has lost, he should really think twice about how he treats her. Then again, if anyone on a soap ever thought twice about something, there would be no storylines.

BC - Wed-Fri, 7/14-16/10

Why did Ryan walk away from a falling-down-drunk Greenlee to make a quick phone call? He HAS a cellphone.

Tidbit: Frankie and Randi live in apartment 2G.

Angie said: "Nothing makes me happier than making meals for my menszez." Except the closed-captioning said "menses". I guess there really isn't a way to spell men-zez, considering it's not really a word.

Damn, Bianca must have developed teleporting powers when she was back in France. Between her weekend roundtrip jaunts to Paris and her lightning fast response to Erica's request that she deliver a message to Caleb, I'm surprised she isn't causing sonic booms. Not that PV didn't ALREADY have a transporter, but Bianca seems to have improved the technology.

Pine Valley is a "small town". How does its numbered streets go anywhere near have 54 of them?

How was Madison able to open Ryan's hotel room door so that she could burst in on him and Greenlee? Her posture made it obvious she did NOT use a key, and they've already demonstrated that they need problematic keycards to get in.

Why doesn't JAR just come out and tell Annie and/or Scott WHY this special client needs "special handling"? It was only at the yacht club that he even TRIED.

Obviously the client hasn't done any homework on Annie and HER talents -- the batshit-crazy homicidal ones, I mean.

JAR bursts into the client's room to rescue Annie. He strikes the time-tested pose of all soap heroes who burst into a room to save someone -- and he makes sure we get a good look at his heroic pose, rather than actually rescuing Annie immediately.

BC - Fri-Mon, 2/5-8/10

Did Erica notice the overwhelming smell of smoke at Wildwind? Why wasn't anything in the Wildwind living room damaged by it?

Greenlee sure is strolling around free and easy in the chapel, especially considering it has a stone floor.

Why would ANYBODY want to go to DAVID'S wedding?

How many times does Greenlee plan to marry for the sole purpose of sticking it to someone else?

They sure are pushing the fact that Erica and David had had a previous romantic relationship. They're pretty much hitting us over the head with a hammer in that regard.

Considering how many people traipse into and out of Wildwind at any given moment, why would Greenlee be STUPID enough to simply barge on into the living room (only to find herself looking at Ryan's back)?

Oh, I LOVE that they had Jack throw into Erica's face that Spike could very well see a photo of his Mommy's Mommy kissing his daddy (I find it far-fetched that he'd take the leap into Spike thinking they were sleeping together, though). Notice how seamlessly he put it -- that Kendall was afraid Spike would see HER Mommy and HIS daddy kissing. BTW, Jack has openly referred to himself as a grandfather of Miranda during his marriage to Erica.

I thought it was interesting that Erica was so offended that Jack said that to her because, in her mind, he was trying to get her to break up with Ryan by HUMILIATING her. Gee, Erica, why would you think it's humiliating that you are having sex with the man who has had sex with your daughter over the course of several years, including less than a year ago, and that he also happens to be the father of your GRANDCHILD?

Now TPTB are hammering home that there are TWO men in Erica's past that she may or may not still hold enthralled in her tiny hands. What's up with THAT?

Ryan is looking high and low for Erica. Has it ever occurred to him to, oh, I don't know, CALL HER? And this is a guy who is supposed to run corporate empires? He finally calls toward the end of the show.

Did anyone else think of Cruella DeVille upon seeing Greenlee in the wedding dress? Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful dress, but it has a hint of evil in it as a bridal gown. Although it's the usual silly reasoning and motivations that are guiding Greenlee and David, it's hard to feel like they are quite the bad guys that they are portrayed as, considering how insufferable their SanctiMartinous (tm) enemies are.

Tidbit: Tad's house is at 3420 Canyon Drive.

Randi's bright idea is to use women who have been helped out by the Miranda Center as models for their new campaign. I don't understand why everything about the Miranda Center is so OPEN. Most shelters for battered women are SECRET. The women are trying to recover from horrific conditions and now they are going to be asked to be on TV. Like they need THAT kind of stress added onto everything else they are dealing with, not to mention that most of them probably don't want people staring at them as they go through such a horrible time in their lives.

Annie sure did an about-face about making sure Adam doesn't get too excited or not enough rest. Now she's dragging him to a party where most people despise them BOTH.

Tad and Liza decide it would be a good idea to go to his house to continue their date. Really? With his ex-wife AND children there he thinks it's a good idea to bring Liza there for sex? All things considered BOTH of them could easily afford a hotel room for that and avoid complications. But what am I saying? This is a soap. There IS no soap without "complications".

David should REALLY know better than not to wear a mouthguard (a helmet and a protective cup would not be unwarranted, either) when he makes his little visits to ANY member of the Martin clan.

How would the cops know the code to the alarm at David's house?

Tad asks Krystal to go find Amanda and tell her that Jake is there and that everything will be all right. "Go FIND Amanda"? How about just CALL her? She's frantic about Jake's whereabouts, after all.

Why does Tad think that Jake wants to use the threat of a trial to drive David out of Pine Valley? David doesn't DO shame. He does ANGER.

I just now realized that eBabe is taller than JAR.

Don't people in PV find it unsettling that the police keep meeting up and hanging out at a BAR? They should utilize the BJ's set or create a new one. ConFusion may serve food, but it is first and foremost a BAR. There's an empty martini glass and a nearly empty glass of some unidentified liquid sitting at the corner of the bar where the police are congregating. The bartender is taking OTHER glasses away, but not them. If I were there in the bar, I would deduce that the cops had been drinking.

What did Ryan do, stuff a sock down his pants? Again?

OH NO! Joe is saying goodbye! He's talking about retiring and he and Ruth leaving town. Joe wants Jake to take up where he left off. He's passing the torch. Gee, foreshadowing much? I guess we know who WON'T be moving Los Angeles with AMC.

JAR says he's going to wait until AFTER the trial to start chemo. He figures the trial will only take about two weeks. Only in PV! Two weeks? Maybe. They seem to be forgetting the months and months and months of preparation and court schedule backups that happen BEFORE that two weeks. But wait -- the trial is TOMORROW! Adam and Scott were charged with the crime basically "yesterday" and TOMORROW is the trial? It's taking me longer than that to watch a handful of episodes of my soap!

And here's EXACTLY what I was talking about. Liza is representing Adam, Scott AND Annie at the same time. Now she is advising one to throw the other one under the bus (Scott vs Annie). She can only protect ONE client involving the same crime and anything else is a HUGE conflict of interest! Talk about appeal issues! Of course, in the real world, she wouldn't have been allowed to do it at all.

Only on a soap would a man think back to having sex the night before and only envision them getting back into the front seat, as opposed to, say, Amanda spreading her legs.

I DO wish Kendall would stop saying that Zach betrayed her. She had already LEFT him for Ryan when Zach had sex with Liza.

Why is Adam pretending to Scott that he has to go handle some stockholders to ease their skittish minds? Isn't SCOTT running Chandler Enterprises now (when he's not babysitting Annie, of course)? I know Adam needed an excuse to leave, I just think the writer(s) forgot that Scott is running the company.

Now Ryan is trying to get Jake to FORCE Annie to have an amniocentesis or some other risky procedure just because RYAN wants him to! It's not like it would ever be admissible in court, although it would certainly upset Adam. The point, though, is that they would be risking a baby's LIFE on what amounts to Ryan's whim!

I love that Adam's notion of Purgatory is that they are now serving 003 and his ticket shows he's number 420

Those wimpy wings are way too small for Angel Annie. She'd never get off the ground with them!

I'm under the impression that a marriage isn't really valid unless the marriage certificate is signed by both parties and witnessed and that the ceremony is really just a formality. Is that true? Even if saying vows is part of the legality of it, if Adam literally DIED during the ceremony, wouldn't he be considered not of sound mind at the time? Then again, he was clearly not of sound mind when he married Krystal, considering that both of them were shit-faced on moonshine at the time. He was just as eager to be married when he gained consciousness, though, so I guess it's a moot point.

Oh, as as to the question of the color of eBabe's dress, it looked purple on my TV. It's a DULL purple, but a purple, nonetheless.

Aidan schmoozes the police officer, pretending that he and Kendall are having an affair. The officer tells him to relax, that they are real good about keeping secrets around there. Aidan says: "What do you call this place, anyway?" Officer: "Peyton." BWAHAHAHAAAA! I feel really old for having to do this, but for you young'uns, this first line from the Wikipedia page pretty much sums it up: "Peyton Place is a 1956 novel by Grace Metalious. "Peyton Place" has become an expression to describe a place whose inhabitants have sordid secrets." I remember reading it as a young teenager. It also became movie in 1957 and a TV series in 1964 (making Ryan O'Neal and Mia Farrow into stars). It was a ground-breaking book and considered QUITE scandalous at the time.

It never ceases to amaze me that patients at PVH are routinely treated by doctors who hate their guts and have tried to kill them MORE THAN ONCE! WTF is WRONG with these people?

Okay, for you Misty Croslin types out there, that thing about spouses not having to testify against one another is a MYTH. Oh there's SOME truth to it, but it's not a blanket immunity kind of thing. They don't having to testify as far as things that have been said DURING THE MARRIAGE. We went through this when Kendall and Zach remarried for the same purpose. That only happens on TV and in movies. Anything that transpired BEFORE the marriage is fair game, so getting married to avoid testifying is a stupid and useless thing to do. At least that's MY take on it.

Well, now that Adam nearly died and he probably has to take it easy for a while, it practically makes it MANDATORY that Annie and Scott have sex, not only to make a baby ASAP, but because Annie will be feeling horny and Adam won't be able to satisfy her.

Kendall grouses to Aidan about Annie and says: "I cannot believe she gets away with the things she gets away with!" This from woman who has escaped custody on multiple occasions, is currently a fugitive who has, on more than one occasion, tried to kill people. Pot, Kettle!

How did Bailey's old boyfriend know where she was? She HAD to have texted him the address.

Oh look, a gun. What a surprise. We need to start keeping a count of how often a gun is shown in Pine Valley since Chuck Pratt took over as headwriter. It seems like their go-to solution for everything now.

If I were Adam, I'd be sorely tempted to shoot Zach just to make him shut the f**k up.

Aidan and Kendall talk about Annie and he says that he was vulnerable after Greenlee left him for Wyan and Annie took advantage of him and made him fall for her. Uh-huh. Kendall says that Annie made Ryan fall for her, as well. Excuse me? Annie pushed Ryan AWAY, convinced he was only interested in her because of Emma. He was bombastic and finally won ANNIE over, not the other way around.

So Adam is, ostensibly, 64 years old. For the record, according to IMDB, David Canary is 71 years old.

Why did Jake and Amanda go to the ConFusion Halloween party? I mean, David was going to be there, along with a lot of other people, and it would be loud and they'd have to dress in uncomfortable costumes. All things considered, you'd think they would have wanted to spend some time alone together, even if they couldn't have sex. Why spend their "date" in the same place as DAVID, of all people?

Speaking of uncomfortable costumes, did you notice that nearly ALL the women were wearing large, CLUNKY false eyelashes? All I could think of every time I looked at those lashes was how difficult it was going to be to REMOVE them.

I hope Amanda plans on waiting until AFTER her next period to get inseminated. Well, actually, I DON'T, but that would make sense for the situation. I still think Trevor is really Jake's bio-baby in the first place, so the next baby might as well be Jake's, too.

Have you noticed that Adam rarely wears a suit anymore?

Ah, now we have an answer as to the painting of brothers on Adam's wall. It WAS painted by Stuart.

O-M-G -- that is one TIGHT unitard Petey is wearing! Petey apparently dresses to the ... um ... center.

Hm. I never realized how much Adam really DOES look like Frankenstein.

Let's see, Bailey called Corrina to babysit Stuart. Okay. So who is babysitting Emma, or Spike and Ian, for that matter? I'm guessing Kathy and Jenny are home with Opal.

Here's a hint for the men out there. If a woman confides to you that she's feeling emotionally empty, LAUGHING is NOT the best response.

How RUDE! That lady with the two kids just barrels between Ryan and Erica without so much as an "Excuse me" (well, as well as one can barrel while wearing heels and trotting like a horse, not to mention SOUNDING like one). I'm guessing someone won a contest or is friends with someone with some pull, so they got to have a walk-on (or, in this case, a trot-on).

Line of the Day (and possibly YEAR)

Zach suddenly walks through a curtained entryway (or maybe long window) in the Chandler living room. Scott whirls and indignantly says: "How do you get IN here???" Zach: "I know it's not my house, but you really gotta work on your security." BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! LOVE IT! Then later Scott threatens to call Security to escort Zach out and Zach says: "Oh, don't worry about it. I'll find my own way out -- I know a shortcut." LOL! They have made several little digs on the show about security lately, which is refreshing.

Tidbit: Scott apparently dresses to the right.

Don't they teach basic mechanics at the police academy? Maybe they don't, I don't know, but it would make sense to do so.
