Boogie Chillen, S01E14, C3P4 (Thu, 5-16-13)

Wait, did Brooke mean that Dixie has become a "therapist" when she said it's good that there's a therapist in the family? Yes, I suppose that IS a logical occupation for her. After all, she is widely renowned for her wisdom, sound decision-making processes, and overall level-headedness. Oh please! She's not known as DADD (Dumb As Dirt Dixie) for nothing!

So now they are dissing the CW channel (Celia mentioned it in a derogatory manner having to do with teenage audience stereotypes). What's up with the snide network digs?

What I love even more than JAR calling himself an asshole is the sight and sound of BILLY CLYDE TUGGLE! The sleazy pimp we love to hate because he's just so damn entertaining! I wonder how he'll hold up in today's politically correct atmosphere. OTOH, characters are swearing, showing a LOT of skin, and even jiggling their man-bits for all the internet world to see, so an old school pimp may not be a big deal, current events aside.

Maya doesn't know how she's going to pay for ANYTHING, yet she takes off with her baby without having any plans in place. She was on the phone with someone about employment and talking about having to go to school at night and pay for childcare. Uh, how is she planning to pay for school? How is she going to pay for the books? Does she have computer access to use for school? How IS she planning to pay for childcare while she's at school? How is she going to pay for the cellphone she used to call whomever it was she was talking to? Why is she spending money at Krystal's when she could just as well go to a fast-food joint? How is she going to pay for diapers and all the other things babies need? I know she's going to stay with Liza and Colby, but that's really the only thing she's got. She should have stayed with Angie and Jesse until she had more than one duck in a row as far as Lucy was concerned.

Hm, that's a new exterior shot of the pool area at the Chandler estate. It looks somewhat LAish, though, to the point that my first thought was Beverly Hills 90210.

Amanda is supposed to be the head of PR for Chandler. Doesn't she have a staff to oversee? The only staffs she oversees are either Jake's or JAR's. BRRRUMPT-TING!

BC - Mon, 5/9/11

Is anyone else struck by how often spouses and sweethearts visit their loved ones at the hospital or other places of work?  Have you ever seen that in real life?  Yes, people occasionally will visit at their SO's place of work, particularly if it's an informal place, such as Krystal's but normally that would be frowned upon if it happened on a regular basis (even at Krystal's, if the person visiting was, for instance, the busperson's girlfriend or wife).  It's unprofessional.  It seems like Amanda goes to the hospital and makes out with Jake on a near-daily basis.

Tad thinks Cara has too much time on her hands because she alphabetized the spice rack.  What's wrong with that?  It can be difficult to find a particular spice; most of the containers look pretty much alike, after all.  The better stores alphabetize them.  I realize he's just antsy and thinks Cara would never think to do something like that if she weren't antsy, too, but I thought I'd throw in my opinion about alphabetizing spices :-)  Since they are both antsy, perhaps they should consider that they are both HORNY and just DO something about it.

Whatever the tabloid magazine is that eBabe is holding up, it costs $4.49 in Canada.  Are tabloids really THAT expensive nowadays?  Sheesh, how do they stay in business?  Who can afford to regularly buy them at THAT price.  I remember when they used to cost about 35 cents (which is about the last time I bought one).

Not only does the Yacht Club have rooms that only have flimsy louvered closet doors on each guest room (a long-time pet peeve of mine, as many of  you know), but the handles apparently don't have locks, either.

I see Griff is still wearing his Unibomber "yeah, I'll blend" disguise.

Wow, I did NOT expect it at ALL when Miranda got upset at school because a classmate called her mother a "Lezzie".  Is that going to be a whole storyline to try to keep viewers through September, or was it just an opportunity for eBabe and Bianca to bond over what a good Mom Bianca is?

I think Cara should be arrested for insisting on visiting the sick child against the parents' express wishes.  At the very LEAST she's probably trespassing.  Then the father walks in and finds Cara lovingly caressing his little girl's face!  I would go BALLISTIC if I were him!  If they don't have a restraining order on her yet, they should get one pronto so she CAN be arrested the next time.  It doesn't matter if the child wants her to visit!  Yeah, it's a sad situation, but it's none of Cara's business, particularly when she's already suffered repercussions for prior contact with the child.  Since Jake LET her do it after only giving lip-service to keeping her away from the child, both he and the hospital should be SUED!

BC - Tue-Wed, 4/19-20/11

Angie is going to have to get used to ASKING who is at her door, even if she THINKS she knows who's there.  Not that any woman on a soap does (only on RARE occasions), no matter how much mayhem they've been subjected to in the past.

I LOVE how Emma is treating Greenlee!  WTF are Greenlee and Ryan thinking basically forcing Emma to spend a day at work with Greenlee?  I'm surprised Greenlee didn't make her sit in on a projections meeting.  Greenlee:  "I project that we will all be out of jobs by the end of September."  Emma:  "Sooner for YOU, if *I* have anything to say about it."

It was pretty laughable when Ryan told Emma that she could go to the Fusion office every single day for a month and still not see everything there is to be seen.  You can be there for less than 3 minutes and see everything that there is to be seen.

So Ricky DOES have a church?  When does he ever have time to tend to his flock?

Was I just not paying much attention (entirely possible)?  What very special thing did Ricky have set up for he and Kendall?  It looked like, um, the park.  Oh, there's a red blanket for them to sit on.  That's IT?  THAT is what he had to have extra help setting up?

I see Greenlee is still wearing her fetish heels.  Yes, I know they are in style.  They are STILL fetish heels.  Not only that, but she's had them for a long time (since at least last September), which is very un-Greenlee-like.  She strikes me as someone who gets new shoes at LEAST once a month.

Why are there fresh flowers all over Kendall's yacht?  Are they set up every day just in CASE she comes by?  She should think about donating the money spent on just-in-case flowers to the Miranda Center instead.

BC - Tue, 3/29/11

Remember back when Colby was with her friends (Dre, etc.) and Petey was hanging around her constantly?  They had a storyline that she had a drinking problem but then dropped it.  I'm kind of surprised they haven't restarted it what with her current problems.  If anything could drive someone to drink, it would be finding out that your mother had sex with the boy/man you loved.  OTOH, it's nice to see someone working through it without resorting to substances, not that airing one's dirty laundry on youtube or pvtube or whatever is particularly healthy.

It's ridiculous that Krystal is running a business, yet she's STILL Jack's paralegal (a job for which she has no qualifications whatsoever).

Caleb tells Erica that he's waited a long time to feel alive again.  He delivers the line with all the energy and passion of someone waiting for an article about pork futures to load on the CNN website.

Line Of The Day:
Jack explains how the dockworkers helped him rescue Krystal from the water.  Erica:  "Well, how lucky the FLEET was in!"    Meee-ow!

JAR tells AJ that his mother IS going to come back to the house an they'll all be a family again.  That's a PROMISE.  What an arrogant asshole!

BC - Thu, 1/27/11

While I have to give them props (so to speak) for trying to show us that Ryan and Greenlee are eating their food with gusto, I had an instant impression in my mind and for a moment I couldn't place it. Then it clicked: it reminded me of the scene in "High Anxiety" when Nurse Diesel (Cloris Leachman) and Dr. Montegue (Harvey Korman) were stuffing their faces, spilling their food and drink, and loudly slurping their tea/coffee as they discussed killing someone while the camera filmed them from under the glass coffee table, Hitchcock style.

I guess I'm getting tired, because I just had another "vision". Jake was making such a big deal about how HE was going to examine David. Given the enmity and history between them, that would never happen in real life, of course. But they want to make a point out of it, so naturally my mind went to where Jake might put his gloved fingers. Then I realized that David, who had just proclaimed that it's not in his DNA to just give up, would probably fart in Jake's face on purpose. Admittedly, that's JAKE's style, but Dr. David doesn't have much to fight back with at the moment.

JAR tells Annie that she's fired (after she tells eBabe that they are in love) because she can't stop getting personally involved in his private life. Then he says "We'll talk about this at the office." He just fired her; why would they talk about it at the office? Personally, as crazy as she is, I think she has a good case of sexual harassment for being fired because someone found out about their affair. It's not like she's been given FORMAL warnings not to butt (so to speak) into the boss's privates--er-private life.

BC - Fri-Mon, 10/1-4/10

I liked the little nod to history when Annie said she thought she would invite the Ramseys to their party because it would probably bring a little more class. Juanita Ramsey was one of Phoebe's best friends; I don't think we ever saw Juanita in person (although we might have -- I have a vague image of a woman in a really wide hat), but Juanita was almost always mentioned when it came to Phoebe's talking about her social circle, which tended to consist mostly of the Daughters Of Fine Lineage.

Much like Erica's phobia about thunderstorms, Greenlee's claustrophobia conveniently comes and goes.

I know Kendall is a spoiled rich girl now, but she grew up in Florida (frequently referring to it as swampland), with ordinary parents. She yearned for the glamorous life, but she didn't HAVE it. Although her parents thought she was a princess, they did not have servants. Kendall has had to do her share of the work over the years, including going back to Florida to help her mother when her father was dying. So this helpless rich girl who's never had to wipe anything but her own pristine butt doesn't fly.

Oh puh-LEEZE! Since when does an employment agency recruiter meet with 19-yr-old prospective employees for interviews at a BISTRO unless they are rich and have connections? She hasn't even looked at his application yet!

Given their track records of being arrested, incarcerated and escaping, not to mention their own LENGTHY records of outlandish behavior when together, why on earth would Jesse agree to assign Kendall to clean up the cell area where Greenlee is being held? Is their sister act supposed to endear either one of them to us? Pssst! BOTH of you, listen and listen good: "BUTCH UP!"

AMC is VERY fond of using their new park set, which is nice for them because they don't have to go to a warehouse, haul it all to a studio, unpack it, pack it up at the end of the day and haul it back to a warehouse. But what are they going to do when the weather turns cold and/or rainy? Contrary to what people might think, it is NOT always warm and sunny in California; it rains, leaves fall and it gets downright frosty. On really rare occasions (outside of mountains where it's not so rare), it even snows. In any case, PV is still supposed to be in Pennsylvania. They might still use the park, but they're going to have to start putting on coats in another month.

I'm with David on Angie practicing medicine without telling them that she was going blind. No WAY should she even have put herself in a position that people would THINK she could see enough to treat patients! Once she was diagnosed, she had a duty to disclose it. There are also things she needs to see (paperwork-wise) in order to make decisions. As Greenlee said, she can still do administrative stuff, but she will also need an assistant to help her with things like that. She ABSOLUTELY put the hospital at risk by not disclosing her ongoing periods of blindness. She SHOULD be fired.

JAR sure is pulling out the "I almost died" card. He did it at LEAST three times just in the first half-hour.

When eBabe told JAR that she had slept with Scott, did anyone else think he looked like a confused dog that kept tilting its head?

BC - Thu, 8/12/10

On Wednesday's show Kendall told Greenlee that they were docked in New York, so it was an easy trip to PV. Does that mean that she and Zach and whatever crew they had on their yacht sailed all the way from Spain to New York with two little boys on board? How f**king big IS that boat?

Kendall: "... even after I not-so-subtly pointed out the fact that her silence could KILL Ryan." Jake: "I think you're doing a great job of pretending that he's DYING. Hopefully it will have some sort of effect." I can't be the only one who whimsically chose to interpret that to mean he was saying that Kendall pretending that Ryan was dying would, hopefully, make it so.

As I watched Ryan pretending to be in a coma while Greenlee talked to him, I was hoping Ryan would have to try to stifle a sneeze. That, at least, would be entertaining.

I realize that the mayor's office and the PVPD are probably in the same building, but why is the mayor constantly hanging out at the police station? Doesn't she have anything better to do with her time? Doesn't she have an office of her own to hang out in? Doesn't she have a budget to pass or furloughs and minimum wage threats to use to impoverish city employees in the name of politics? Doesn't she have to defend her own high salary to the press? Does she make constant impromptu visits to the fire stations in order to intimidate the fire chief and firefighters? She's so grateful to David for saving her daughter's life. Has it ever occurred to her that she might have a future reason to be grateful to the PVPD for saving her life or her daughter's life? Has it ever occurred to her that said future saving might not go as smoothly as she would like if she continues to be such a hardass bitch at the PVPD in order to please a man that everyone in town hates with a white-hot passion?

Well, Angie managed to get down from the stepladder while blind, rather than flail and fall, which they wanted us to THINK would happen. I'm glad they showed her as being competent enough to climb down two steps without being able to see, because I was ready to lose all respect for her as a competent grown-up, let alone a competent doctor if she couldn't manage that, and they didn't take the easy way out (yet) by having her fall and miscarry. I DID notice, however, that she left the stepladder opened up where it was in the kitchen as she congratulated herself on getting down and told the baby they'll handle whatever comes. Does that include handling it well when she slams blindly into the stepladder because she forgot to fold it up and put it aside? I'll make the assumption that Jesse took care of it after he got home.

BC - Thu, 7/8/10

NOTE: I'm just now picking up where I left off on Sunday with this episode. Sorry about that! Some of my observations/questions have probably been answered, but I don't know about it yet.

Is Erica launching her new perfume in Italy before she launches it in the U.S.? That's the only reason I can think of to send Amanda there when she hasn't done anything so far but photo shoots in [snort] the Fusion office.

Angie still hasn't told anyone but Jake about her intermittent blindness. Does that mean she's still driving?

I KNOW I'm not the only one who thought of Erica and the word "Grandmother" when Frankie said something to Madison about the dreaded "g-word" (Greenlee) not coming up

Angie tells Jake that her vision disappeared, but came back after she banged her leg into a table. Where THERE is her solution! She just needs to keep a hammer handy and whack herself with it whenever she feels her vision start to blur. She could wear it around her neck like a stethoscope. In lieu of that, I'm sure David would be willing to smack her anytime she asks.

Oh, Angie IS taking meds? It's about TIME they let us in on that little tidbit.

Amanda says she's going to pass on the Italy shoot if Jake can't go with her. Doesn't she have a contract that REQUIRES her to go? Contract? Oh, they didn't REALLY mean it. I mean, going to the zoo with her husband and baby is MUCH more important than the thousands of dollars it's going to cost the company for her to back out of it NOW. I thought she has already been identified as THE model/face of the company, at least for Erica's glamor side of things. The web is all atwitter about it (Twitter, too). She has a fanbase. She's already been announced and touted in the press. She acts like it's a vacation instead of a working, contractual obligation. Italy-schmitaly, my ASS! I hope Fusion takes her to court over it.

Why is Madison buck nekkid in the Hubbard living room? Yeah, I know it was so Frankie could catch her, but how stupid was THAT? Talk about making yourself at home!

Randi's top is nice, but that bolero/jacket/jacklette/whatever-the-hell it's called is BUTT UGLY! Whoever decided that it would be a good look should be FIRED!

How long was Jesse in WV that days would go by without him telling her he loved her? He and Bianca must have been in the same time warp. And, like Bianca, I don't remember him even leaving. And being in another state is hardly an excuse -- he DOES have a cellphone, after all.

So now they're going to send Randi to Milan instead of Amanda? Excuse me? Haven't we been down this road before? Randi was a H-O-O-K-E-R. There are videos of her having sex out on the internet. She WAS going to be the face of Fusion, but they had to scrap that campaign when the videos surfaced. Nope, looks like they've ALL -- including Randi -- completely forgotten about it.

Madison and Frankie have an mutual admiration fest. I had to LOL when Frankie told Madison that Ryan was a lucky guy and he just didn't know it yet. Uh, Madison MURDERED her husband and was a gambling addict, alcoholic (they seem to have completely dropped those two storylines) and blackmailer. Yeah, Ryan is a lucky, lucky guy! Not that Ryan is a prize. I wouldn't blame Madison for murdering husband #2 if said husband turned out to be Ryan.

I'm curious -- who's the blond child in the photo behind Jake and Amanda's couch? The child is too old to be Trevor. It looks more like AJ.

BC - Tue, 6/19/10

On Monday Angie fretted about her impending blindness as she cuddled a sleeping Jesse's arm after they made love. All I could think of was how close her presumably infected and contagious eyes were to his skin. Then I thought about how close her eyes had probably been to other parts of his body. I can just hear Jesse now: "OMG, I've got contagious fungal endophthalmitis dickitis with an added trace of some sort of ocular involvement!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! How the hell did I get THAT??? It's only GOT one eye, you know!" Angie: "Oops."

Is that a giant diaper pin holding Krystal's dress together? For you young'uns, a "diaper pin" is a quaint term to describe what was basically an extremely large safety pin that was used in the olden days to hold CLOTH diapers together. And yes, we DID sometimes inadvertently stick the poor little babies with the pins (along with ourselves). Ah, the good old days.

Annie's mourning "hat" with the spotted veil was HILARIOUS! Big black spots on her face kind of suit her -- it makes her look like she has malignant moles. Did she already HAVE that strappy veil holder/hat? If not, where did she get it on such short notice? Do they sell them in the lobby at the Pine Valley Mortuary?

Why do Scott, JAR and Annie keep talking about The Nanotech Project? Most projects that are still in development have a code name, sometimes with a sly reference to what the product actually is. I once worked on a project called Harem. It had to do with a Unix operating system in the 1980s. It was called Harem because "you'll always find eunichs in harems". Okay, so it was nerd humor -- maybe you actually had to be there So what should the code name for the Chandler nanotech project be? We could call it Mork since Mork was always saying "Nanoo, nanoo!" Or possibly Orson. Or, in keeping with the spirit of the project: hot stuff or booty since it's basically stolen goods or perhaps some sort of up-yours reference to Steve Jobs (actually the booty reference would also work if you've ever seen the TV movie Pirates of Silicon Valley. Any suggestions?

TAN/OT: One of my favorite, but old nerdy jokes was someone saying that he likes to name at least one computer/server elvis, because then if he used the command "ping elvis", it would come back and say "elvis is alive"

Krystal has a new restaurant now -- why is she still working for Jack?

That's an amazingly flimsy memorial to Palmer! What's it made out of, potato chips?

Why would they have a reading of a will at a yacht club outdoor restaurant? Don't the other yacht club members ever get tired of the same snobby, self-entitled people taking over the place on a pretty much daily basis?

If this is the newest version of the will that Jack hasn't even read yet, then why were Nina, Lanie, Bobby, Ross, etc., already taken care of? For all he knew, Palmer wrote them out of it in the Pigeon Hollow version. And shouldn't Adam be there? You'd think Palmer would leave something extra special in his will for Adam, like a sailboat paperweight ( a long time ago Palmer caressed and admired a sailboat figurine or paperweight as he taunted Adam while Adam was lying helpless on the floor of the boathouse after suffering a stroke).

JAR left the will reading while it was still going on, but after his own part was read. How RUDE!

How is it that neither Scott nor JAR knew of who or what owned HALF the stock in Chandler Enterprises all this time or that there even WAS this giant block of stocks? How could Palmer own HALF of it? There's never been any clue that Palmer did that, and Adam has ALWAYS had controlling interest. If Adam had only HALF interest in the company, a) someone would have had to represent the other half, and b) who were all those OTHER mysterious stockholders to whom they always had to answer? Talk about creative accounting!

If Palmer had all those shares of Chandler, why didn't he cash them in when he lost his own fortune, or, better yet, go into THAT business and continue to make Adam's life hell while making money, too?

Well, now we know Caleb's connection to PV -- he's Palmer's nephew. Why didn't the West Virginia relatives (i.e., Dixie, Will, Lanie, Di or even Del) know about him? We knew he had to have (or, in this case, WOULD have) money one way or another to even the playing field in PV. Caleb had better keep a chastity belt over his kidneys at all times lest he wake up in the morning in a bathtub full of ice and Del's fingerprints all over the place.

What's with Colby and her sudden infatuation with getting married? She can't be THAT oblivious to the fact that Damon isn't interested in that right now and it makes him SUPER uncomfortable. Then she reassures him that that is far down the road. Then she tells him she loves him. Liza's right, Colby's heart IS going to be broken. Par for the course, but it WILL happen.

Natalia passed her detective's exam. OH PUH-LEASE!!! Has she even been a cop for a YEAR? Don't you have to a) have experience, and b) move up in the ranks?

Debbi Morgan (aka Angie) looks FABULOUS for her age, but she's 54 and Darnell Williams is 55, so I had to laugh when she said she and Jesse were in their 40s.

After stabbing Liza with it during her allergic reaction to lobster, Damon informs her that he always carries an epi-pen with him due to a severe peanut allergy. I had to wonder, then, if women say to him: "Is than an epi-pen in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

Tad tells Damon that whatever happened tonight was HIS (Tad's) mistake, not Damon's. WTF??? No, it WAS Damon's mistake. I don't care if the little punk DOES have ADHD -- that's no excuse for breaking the law! What he HAS are anger issues.

Is it my imagination or is eBabe wearing very little eye makeup in order to make her look more innocent (therefore making the betrayal even WORSE)?

I really like that Opal reminded Amanda that Erica has her own history with JaNut and can understand how she can be. Not that Erica denied it, but somehow it had a little more importance to me when Opal made a point of it. Maybe I feel a little like Opal is one of US, a fan with a long memory, if that makes any sense.

Amanda had me right up until she started to cry. Then I was taken out of the moment because it was pathetically fake crying. That push-up bra must be too tight, because it sounded more like she just wasn't getting enough air.

eBabe tells Scott that it's always been JAR's DREAM to take over the company. Why is everyone acting like JAR hasn't taken it over BEFORE? I think he's taken it over more than once, for that matter. Job positions in Pine Valley are like sands through the hourglass. The grains run out, but eventually the hourglass is turned over and it starts all over again, so all he really has to do is stay inside the hourglass and he'll get another turn. Again.

Marissa making JAR choke on grapes (within Annie's fantasy) was a nice comedic touch, as was her telling Annie to aim low (with the gun)

BC - Tue-Fri, 3/30/10 thru 4/2/10

What is the big deal with Amanda being the new face of Fusion? I don't get it. She WORKED for them during their campaign when they used Ava as their new model. Ava wasn't NEARLY as pretty as Amanda, then or now, but Amanda wasn't interested and no one else seemed to notice what a knockout she was except when Greenlee hired her to be a gorgeous slut--er--alluring hostess to draw men in when they opened Confusion. Amanda was being portrayed as being too business-oriented and mature to even consider it. Now she acts like a giddy schoolgirl about it

Krystal tells Jack she used to be a paralegal. Yeah, RIGHT! So why, then, was she living the life of a destitute nomad without 2 cents to her name?

Greenlee is wearing a SHITLOAD of dark and obvious makeup. I don't think she really grasps the concept of "natural".

Why do they keep showing promos/spoilers for AMC for the SAME DAY? Geez, they aren't even going ahead more than a few MINUTES!

In what way would Kendall having sex with Greenlee's fiance shortly after her "death" and Erica having sex with Greenlee's fiance a YEAR after her "death" impact a trial for, among other things, David drugging ADAM? David falsified DNA records to make it appear that Greenlee was dead, but I don't think Kendall had sex (yet again) with Ryan until a body was misidentified as her simply because it was wearing Greenlee's moon ring. It had not come out yet that Kendall was the one behind the wheel when Greenlee's motorcycle was inadvertently forced off the road, either. How else was Greenlee betrayed? Let's see, Erica ran Fusion in Kendall's absence and in the wake of Greenlee's death, and managed to keep it afloat. In what way is THAT a betrayal? Why would a judge give a flying f**k about ANY of that as far as David covering up her death VERY EARLY ON goes? Why would it matter even if he only covered it up well AFTER her death? He DID falsify the DNA records. He DID have Nurse Gayle drug Adam. He had NO reason to hide her death from her loved ones other than to stroke his own God complex. For that matter, he allowed ALL her estate, including Fusion, to go through whatever kinds of probate matters were necessary, impacting every single employee of the company AND the surviving partner and shareholders. I don't know if they could charge him with anything in that regard, but you never know. Nope, as usual, their legal and illegal matters have nothing whatsoever to do with reality.

Greenlee finding out that Kendall was the one who ACCIDENTALLY ran her off the road may be upsetting or even devastating to her, but it has no bearing on what motivated David to go to great (and illegal) lengths to keep her survival a secret. Wouldn't Greenlee also be very upset to find out that that her bestest hole-buddy, Zach, was at the wheel?

Why did Greenlee need to put a period at the end of each search term when she ran a search engine on her accident? Do the writers really think that the audience is so stupid that they couldn't figure it out from the words alone? Did you notice that while it was searching, the search engine referred to it as "a search bus"? What is the term "search engine" copyrighted? I think "search train" would have been a nicer touch and it sounds like a song should be associated with it (probably because it brings "Soul Train" to mind).

Has Greenlee asked anyone where Aiden went?

Why does Madison want to hang around the casino for her date? I know she was there initially for work, but that place has BAD memories for her, and the drinking and gambling were ADDICTIONS that don't just go away just because her husband and father have gone away. Ah, I see her date isn't going well because she's so uncomfortable. At least they wrote SOME realism into it, although they weren't clear WHY she was uncomfortable (so she can be thrown together with Ryan, obviously).

Uh, how long has Natalia been out of the academy? She's determined to get that detective's badge ASAP. Isn't there at least a requirement as far as experience goes in order to qualify for that position? Hmmm, I googled it and am dismayed to find out that the only REAL qualification is a GED, an ability to speak English, and passing the physical. I'm sure individual states and locales have their own stringent requirements, and I would imagine rookies don't generally get promoted over senior officers, at least not without a brilliant track record and more than a little experience as a beat cop. Of course, in PV, ANYONE can do ANY job, regardless of their qualifications and/or experience, or the lack thereof.

Speaking of Natalia, she is NOT supermodel material. She does NOT ooze glamor and still won't, no matter how much she's dolled up. She's pretty, but she's not NEARLY pretty enough for an ad campaign for makeup that makes a woman look glamorous.

Okay, that's just RUDE having Ryan talk about and belittling cougar mothers in Girl Scout troups, considering he just got out of a relationship with Granny Erica. What a JERK!

Now Greenlee is locked in a room yet AGAIN. Whatever happened to her claustrophobia? It's hard to imagine why she EVER goes into ANY room, considering how often she ends up locked in, one way or another.
